Elegant and silky with cherry and plum flavours. ###Product DescriptionIt is extraordinary to think that wines from New Zealand would have been rejected out of hand only 40 years ago. Time and experience has very much changed that to the extent that the country's wines are now embraced as some of the best in the World. Oyster Bay has been one of the forces behind this, winning the Marquis de Goulaine 'Best Sauvignon Blanc in the World' back in the early 1990s. Tasting NotesNew Zealand Pinot Noir is gaining more and more fans as time goes by. Oyster Bay's example is as consistently good value as their other wines with its silky plum and cherry flavours.

I love that Oyster Bay has other delicious wines! This Pinot Noir is a go-to red wine, especially for someone looking to explore another Pinot Noir region. Full of cherry flavors and easy to drink on its own.

I discovered this wine when I was living in New Zealand and am delighted to see it on shelves here in the US. I enjoy full robust French reds like Châteauneuf-du-Pape, this Pinot Noir is less heavy and so it is always in our cabinet. Friends who find the Châteauneuf-du-Pape a little overwhelming and/or bitter consistently rave about this Pinot Noir. It's incredibly smooth with no sharp after taste, fabulous with light cheeses but it can also hold it's own with a Stilton or Boursin. An easily drinkable wine from an incredibly beautiful place. If you're not sure about Pinot Noir, try this one, but remember, you're going to need more than one bottle...

I honestly don't understand the high praise for this wine. It was highly recommended by a friend of mine who drinks lots of Pinot Noir, so I didn't hesitate in picking up a bottle. Sadly, upon tasting it, it didn't live up to my expectations. It was extremely watery, there was a white foam on the top from pouring, and it just tasted very bland, like lukewarm grape juice. If you want a better tasting Pinot Noir for about the same price, I recommend Wild Horse Pinot Noir. I won't be buying this one again.

I always try to drink New Zealand Pinot Noir and this was excellent. Reasonably priced, a lighter and fresh flavor. My guests loved it and I have since sent as an Christmas gift to a friend who raved about it at the party. You can't go wrong for the price!
Nice fruit on the nose and front of the plate after letting it breathe for an hour with a strong tanins on the finish, reminiscent of much higher priced California reds from the 80s. All in all a very pleasant surprise
Wowwwww this Pinot does not disappoint! Delicious! Very beautiful wine with a nice nose and finish. NZ is a perfect region for PN and this is a stand out one.
I have become a huge fan of Oyster Bay and loved this wine. It tasted like a much more expensive wine. Thanks Target for carrying this reasonably priced wine.
I bought this wine on the recommendation of a friend. I didn't like it at all and neither did my husband. We are not avid red wine drinkers but I have had several Pinot Noir wines that I've enjoyed. I would have poured this down the drain but, instead, I brought it to my friend who loves it. For me it was too acidic. I have found pinot noirs to be lighter red wines and have enjoyed many of them. This one had a sharp taste. Not sure how else to describe it.
Excellent everyday table wine! Good red for those warmer days when you want a red for beef or spaghetti but also want the wine to be a little on the light side. Loved the flavor and the easy, smooth finish. We love Pinot Noir in general but this is definitely one of our favorites.
love this red! one of my absolute favorites. I love to pair it with a steak dinner and give to others as a gift! it has perfect grape notes and a really nice finish. love it!!
