This edger is Ok for an entry level machine. For context, prior to this I had an inherited petrol unit on a proper mower style chassis and that was miles better. Problems with the ozito are:-it doesn't cut very deep, even on the deepest setting. If you're rolling along a path a bit higher than the grass it's barely going to cut.-the geometry and top heaviness means as you push along it tends to lift up at the front which is where the cutting blades are, which means it isn't effective-it desperately needs a lock to keep power on. You need to constantly depress the power button which gets really fatiguing after a while. End up with strained wrist the next day.For the money it's ok. I have a new fantastic tools! So I bought this because the usual edge trimmer that you have to balance on while pushing it with your foot hoping not to fall over and after all the effort, they never do a decent job. This is tge bomb! Perfect edges, every time.

I used my son in law's 18v Ozito edger and it was okay. It did get bogged down a lot as his edges had never been done. I only have the driveway and gutter to do, so I decided to get the cheaper corded version. It has wide rear wheels and I found the electric motor to have a lot more torque compared to the convenient battery version. I did all my edges for the first time and the electric edger cut through it effortlessly. The blade pulls the machine along so there is no effort to run this along the concrete edges.

I bought it as a hack to verticut the buffalo lawn and it works as expected; it needs some manual control to avoid cutting too deep even with the lowest depth setting. As for edging, the handle makes it possible to control with two hands and avoid touching the kerb which could result in sparks and obviously damage the blade.
This is my first lawn edger, so it is difficult for me to compare to others. That said, out of the box it was very easy to assemble and the instructions were clear. My only advice to would be buyers is to ensure that your extension lead that you have sitting at home is long enough. Using the edger was simple and it cut the edges brilliantly. It's amazing how good it makes a freshly cut lawn look when you have razor sharp edges.
Just replaced my 10 year old Homelite edger for this one and it did not dissapoint. Its quiter, plenty powerful and the blades are not only cheap but they actually seem to be available!! I had constant problems with zero stock of my old edger blades througout the country for often 12 months at a time. I like the fact that it is plug in and not battery powered - its one less thing to worry about like is it charged enough and will it do the whole lawn. batteries are good for drills but I avoid them for high powered tools like edgers.
Bought it a year ago and find it inadequate for the job. Can't cut deep enough.Mud builds up in the guard. No front or rear guide to save the concrete.Handle feels flimsy and difficult for left hand use.Blade shows wear after little use.Best feature is adequate power.
I purchased this as a birthday gift for my father. It hasn't been as useful as I had hoped. Seems to be quite clunky and cant adjust the height of the handle, power cord could be a little longer. It is lighter than other options in the market which is a plus and a reason why I also purchased it, overall it does the job
Who would have thought creating an edge would be so satisfying. This gives a pro edge to my lawns and paths, also used to cut out new lawn to create new flower beds in my garden. My line trimmer couldn't achieve this on such overgrown lawn and pathways. My spade wouldn't have given a straight edge. I'll use my trimmer to keep them maintained.
I've used this product for 3 years now.I have a medium size back-yard and front-yard and have had no problems so far.I've not changed or sharpened the blades. It's powerful, easy to navigate and delivers a professional job.
