Easy to set up and use. Despite some reviews stating the bag doesn't catch the sawdust, mine has been quite effective. The 0 degree setting is within a degree of where it should be, so getting straight cuts has been quite good. Only using for cutting sleepers and decking so haven't tried the other settings such as angled cuts and trenching, but does the job I need it for well enough. Paired it with the Ozito Mitre saw stand. Had to fiddle a bit to attach the saw to the stand, but makes for an effective combination.

Have been using this saw for a few years now, doing basic cuts at 90deg it works great but for any mitre work it's let down by it's terrible adjustments. Too much play in the rotation for repeatable accurate mitres, plunge height adjustment simply doesn't work. If you're just chopping up framing etc it works just fine and the laser is actually useful, wouldn't recommend for finish work.

I bought this saw for about two years ago, done the whole renovation in my house, still working good, Still original blade even though I have cut some aluminium on it.Laser guide only work in a dark room, once it's out in the sun you cannot see the laser.I have always kept it clean after use.TipOnce you set the angle to 90 deg (calibration), dont lock it too tight wherever angle you are cutting after calibration. As long as you don't tight the nobe too much it will cut on the required angle, and just keep it clean and it will serve you good.

I bought this saw on the 6/7/21 because my old saw had become lose and didn’t keep accurate settings so I decided to get this rather then spending twice as much for a professional one.It cuts quite accurate and I love the laser guide it’s spot on. Angles are pretty accurate and straight. I love the width of the cut.My only gripe is the opening of the dust suction port behind the blade. Way too small and most of the dust just completely missed the target. The guard seems to be too short at the back so any dust just simply shoots straight past. For the price you get what you paid for. Simple low cost hobby saw. If I get 5yrs out of it then I’ve done good.
After looking at many different reviews for different mitre saws, I decided to go the cheaper side.Easy enough to take out of box and assemble (only a couple small pieces). The dust extraction with vacuum is non existent, if you can wheel your workbench outside, do it.I had a big problem with the laser that was no where near centre, so spent a lot of time to get close enough.Had to use a square to align the drop down as I found the angle markings not correct. Also there is a bit of vibration when cutting. The safety trigger is flimsy as (won't take much to break if you're not careful). It's Ozito. It's $250.What would you expect. It does the job with a bit of tinkering but I'm glad I didn't go cheaper.
Its OK. I know its low end of the price range for mitre saws, but I was very disappointed that it isn't strong enough to hold a bevel angle between 45 and 0 degrees. Zero degrees is fine, because it locks into place. +/- 45 degrees is fine because it rests on the stops, but anything in between easily moves because the locking screw isn't strong enough to hold its own weight.Pretty happy with it other than that.
I recently bought new to replace the exact same saw that I had previously. This saw is brand new and cuts crooked, no matter how precisely you try to set the angles to 0. On about the 5th use, doing a basic small cut through a short piece of 2x4, it kicked up and the blade guard broke off and now the blade has a serious wobble. You’d think this machine would be a bit more sturdy. Disappointing.
Exchange over due to power supply issues. The previous module had metal arm supports and higher wood guards. The saftey support was lockable where as now you can not.Dust bag could be a little larger, fills up to fast.Had to hook up a vacuum to collect dust.No 'bolts' to attach to the stand I purchased for the saw.Saw is a good machine where as would have like to purchased the 12 inch. They are only available in the US.
Possibly better to get a handle on the tool before launching into a project but what the hey. Making sure everything is locked down well is a smart and rather obvious precaution. A little disappointed with the depth of cut mechanism; has a capacity to loosen and alter the cut but once aware of the issue it is controllable.Otherwise happy with the purchase.
Dust collection doesn’t work at all. Retro fitted as an after thought to Ozito stand. Quick release great idea but doesn’t really work well. Knobs too small and just the wrong shape. Centre of rear fence is flexible. Health issue due to no dust collection. Prepare to get very dusty. Pay the extra buy a name brand.Needs a lot of tweaks.
