Its actually pretty great for the price point - my only gripe is battery life. Was getting measurements of a 3BR apartment and put a new battery in when I started and just 30 minutes later the battery was dead.

I bought this last year for site survey's and inside it works great. Outside, if it's too bright or sunny, it's a little more difficult at longer distances. But amazing for its price
The laser path angles ever so slightly, such that when I put it on a flat surface the laser dot hits the surface within a couple meters or so and not on the intended target. Might be defective, but be wary of poor manufacturing standards if so.
A compact and handy unit that works well. Only thing unless I’m doing something wrong is that it eats batteries when left turned off for some reason.
Fine laser distance measurer, it does the job for what an average person need, nothing fancy and definitely not perfect, but good enough
Great indoors, fantastic. Outdoors cannot view the screen even in low light. Holding it steady enough to take a reading over any distance is impossible - needs a fitting to secure it steadily to a post or tripod
Nowhere on the product information does it inform you that this product is for indoor use only. 1. the lcd display cannot be read outdoors in bright (or even partially cloudy) sunlight. 2. it will not take a measurement in bright sunlight. So the product is useless if you want to take measurements outdoors - which I would think be a common use. I returned it to buy another more useful product.
Bought it a month or so ago. Bought it mostly for indoor use and it does that well simply and reliably. It doesn't measure as well outdoors in bright sunlight at longer range, and the screen is harder to read outdoors in bright sunlight as well
