Love this thing, I live in Dunedin and this thing has been running for 16 hours so far with no trouble during the flood we just had, it's silent, powerful and the fact you can attach the doodad to make it run forever is awesome . I will definitely be buying another one of these when I can.

I like this pump, it’s good for small jobs
Very happy with the pump cleared my backyard up after recent rains, helps to put someFly screen or similar around the Inlet to stop debris as the prop got wedged. Take your time getting the air out during submersion.
Although the pump is quite powerful, I wouldn’t recommend this pump at all. When the motor turns on, it is such a violent starter that it through the unit on its side. This means it keeps pumping indefinitely as there is no longer any height differential between the float switch and the unit to cause it to turn off. Therefore the pump will just keep running and running, chewing up more and more power until eventually the motor burns out. A wider, more stable base would be a great addition to the design, as would some sort of counter weight at the bottom of the unit.
Nothing but trouble with it over 3 years. Seems to turn on, prop runs, but doesnt suck up water at all sometimes.
