Angle Grinder With No Cords Helps

I needed an Angle Grinder with nothing impeding my reach or work ethics. Having battery operated tools is the way to go and the Price Range of the Ozito Brand makes that happen. I have a shed full of Ozito tools and this Angle Grinder just adds to my collection.I recently used it to prepare my garden chairs for a new lease on life. The rust came off like a knife to butter and the finish gave me minimal sanding for my paint preperation. For DIY, this is the perfect addition to my Ozito Brand Tool Collection and i would highly recommend not only this Angle Grinder but the Ozito Brand in General. I should be an Ozito ambassador because i love these tools, the range and the price.

I noticed that a lot of reviews show 5 and 4 stars despite stating that the tool is very light duty, struggles to cut even thin metals even when using high quality disks such as MAKITA, motor cutting off while cutting thin metal and the a ON/OFF switch. So, be cautions and avoid buying especially with the low range rechargeable battery. It may cause serious injury as happened to me.

Got this in the 5 tool pack and I gotta say it actually performed a lot better than I expected. It was never meant to be a trade quality tool but for DIY use it's brilliant. Didn't use the supplied grinding wheel. Bought good quality discs and it cut 2.5mm steel plate effortlessly. Don't lean on it too hard and don't expect $150 performance from a $59 tool and you will be satisfied with it's performance.

For the price its good.

Bought one of these a few months back. I have read the other reviews and would agree that the slide switch operation is awkward to use compared to a lever trigger. It has a soft start feature that means you have to wait for it to build up speed before attempting to apply the wheel to the task. Heavy pressure will see the motor cut out however with a little practice you soon become accustom to how much elbow you can apply. It CLEARLY states on the box and documentation that a 5.2Ah battery is highly recommended, so make the 4.0Ah battery is your minimum pack for this tool. Also make sure its fully charged and in good working order (Not some worn out pack you've had for years) otherwise you will severely degrade the tools performance. Choose the right disc for the job ... MoreBought one of these a few months back. Great grinder
12 June 2022

Very handy and great litltle grinder .Only issue is that i have is that it'll cut out if the disk shutters or jams a little bit which i think that is just a safety feature. Apart that, i would of still been rolling out the 20m cord by the time i had finished with the battery powered.Very Comfortable and the on and off switch is not an issue, i don't know what others are complaining about

Grinder for small quick jobs, mainly used for cutting mild steel tubing - DOES THE JOB..
30 June 2022

Purchased this grinder as I already have plenty of batteries, being cordless the grinder is obviously nowhere near as powerful as my Bosch Corded but it does the job of small projects. Cuts through tube steel with ease and if it does grab doesn't take your arm off. So far I have cut mild steel square tube 2.5mm thick 100mm x 50mm, cut with little effort moderate to light pressure. Recommend for hobbies..

Its amazing how bad this is, how can something so bad get through QA. its almost unusable haha
16 April 2023

This is the biggest steaming pile of junk in my garage, its amazing just how bad this is. the button function is trash, especially since it cuts out with even the lightest application. I thought maybe I could use it with a buffing wheel for detailing seeing as it couldn't cut a Curtin rod without cutting out. I could only laugh as it would cut out constantly trying to buff a guard with a sheep skin pad and polish lol.

Nice kit
26 April 2023

Had one for two and a half years, and it's done great service. I'm an advanced DIYer, and have flogged the guts out of it...cut star droppers, concrete, bricks, put channels in decking frame, polished with it. It has one advantage over larger 125mm angle grinders, in that the handle can be mounted on top so you can comfortably hold it perpendicular to a surface and see what you are cutting, plus the blade guard has a better range of position than many other grinders I've used.Use it within its capabilities, and hang onto your receipt. It will probably die before the warranty expires, but seven or eight years flogging is better than three and a new purchase.

I like Ozito but this grinder is rubbish. Cuts out every 20 seconds and you have to turn off, remove the battery, replace the battery only to get another 20 seconds at most of operation. I believe it’s a safety setting but even with the slightest of pressure used it still cuts out. I suppose you get what you pay for and this was cheap and it’s on cheap useless grinder. I will be returning it as soon as I can.

Valuable DYI Tool
19 January 2023

Great machine for the DYI enthusiasts. The 18v battery delivers plenty of power for most jobs around the home. The cordless operation adds to the convenience and safety of not having cords running around the work site. You should always operate with a spare battery to avoid wasting time charging your battery.
