I attempted to use this to polish a car. The buffer is so bad it is just as effective without a battery. I tried for 2 minutes and resorted to using a polishing cloth by hand. I have several other Ozito tools which work fine, this one seems to be a real lemon.

I bought this yesterday . Fully charged 4.0 mah battery.Doesn't like even the minute amount of pressure or it won't oscillate, just vibrates which does nothing. With no pressure it does oscillate but won't remove the polish.Ended up doing it by hand

I own most of the Ozito PXC range. They've rushed into this one, much like some of their garden range it's just not there yet. If you're looking for a buffer/polisher go 240v.They need to go back to the drawing board.I would hold out for the new PXC brushless sander/polisherif you have 8 hrs to apply 1 coat of polish 1 panel of your car, go for it. If you value quality tools and time walk away.

I thought even though it was cheap it would still be okay but it is absolutely terrible. Used good quality polish but with no speed setting it is too fast to buff and too slow to polish. Worst mess of the paintwork and took hours to try and repair by hand. Don't waste your money.
Bought this after polishing my car by hand, easy to use, gave an excellent result in half the time & a lot less elbow grease. For those that say it doesn’t work or if you apply pressure it slows down, if you read the instructions it tells you not to apply pressure & just let the weight of the machine so the work.
While not as powerful as a some of the corded models I have used. The unit done the job (just a little slower), without having to run cords and was at a good price.
Works well as long as you only use it for buffing and very light scratches along with a good cutting compound.Polishes the car well but you have to not press hard, let the buffer do the work and follow the instructions. The real bad point as far as I am concerned is the elastic around the pads, they keep wanting to come of and you have to stop and refit them,a real pain, that need to be improved on.Also you need a good long use battery and maybe a spare as it drains battery life, much like other battery buffers. When this one dies I would look for something else that has better fitting pads and not so chunky.
As per the other reviews this buffer is terrible. I bought it earlier in the year at the first shutdown & decided to buff the car. After attempting the bonnet with this i resorted back to doing it manually with a cloth & rag. Can’t apply any pressure, just pointless! It is not fit for what it’s designed for. Ozito do make decent products but this isn’t one of them! Do NOT buy this, It’s a waste of money
I've had this a year or more only used it a few times and it does the job, only greavence I have is trying to get replacement bonnets. Overall would recommend
I'm very happy with all my other Ozito 18v tools for light home use, but this buffer is rubbish. Any light pressure and it doesn't work. Just letting it "float" on the surface does nothing either. If I hadn't lost my receipt somehow I'd have taken it back for a refund.
