This bag is absolutely perfect. Way big for a short person, but warm and snuggly on a cold night. I will be able to use it in the warmer weather by stripping out the inner sheet. It really is an all season bag. I am so glad I didn't settle for a cheaper one. Also excellent service as always from Snowys.

This is the best sleeping bag I’ve ever had. It’s big and heavy, so not for trekking, but it’s incredibly comfortable and warm. It even acts as a bit more cushioning to my swag mattress. My water bottle froze overnight, but I was very snug. It’s a very wide bag, so excellent for larger frames

Absolutely love this sleeping bag, so much so that I bought another for my partner. Super roomy, warm and oh so soft. I get cold easily so suits me to a tee. My partner gets hot easily so unzipping the side does the trick for him. Feels so much more natural than most other sleeping bags that have that synthetic feel.

This is my second Rivergum XL bag, a fantastic, well made and thought out product, just love it, no buyers remorse !!.The first one was a R/h zip, and now I have a L/h zip model, which suits me better. It's a very comfortable bag, and because I'm 190 cm, it's very roomy for me.The zip out liner is great, making it very multi seasonal, it can be used separately, or not at all, depending on conditions, but most importantly, it is very easy to remove and wash, which really refreshes the bag for next use.TIP ! . . . If you still feel a bit cold, the liner can be unzipped, and a fleecy or aircell blanket can be slipped in, then rezipped, alleviating the problem of blankets sliding off the outside, or getting tangled up inside, . . . it works very well. Also, it can be left in there when packing up.When I'm next instore, I plan on getting a stuff sack for it, rather than folding it back into its original bag, which will, I believe, protect the lofting qualities a bit better by eliminating the fold areas. As always, Snowys friendly service and delivery are first class, it all makes for a happy shopping experience, thanks again.
Great sleeping bag - cosy, comfortable and -5C rating correct. I have used the bag over the last 3 weeks while on a Simpson Desert Trip with -4C to +4C min. temperatures overnight. The 100 cm width instead of the 80cm standard width makes you feel like you are sleeping in a bed where you can turn over easily without getting all tangled up in the bag. The bag finish prevents blankets from slipping off while sleeping. Disappointed with the carry bag stitching at zip ends which came apart resulting in the zip pull running off the zipper and the carry bag being unable to be fully closed.
First service was 10/10 from snowys. I had rung concerned about delivering time to Sydney. The girl who spoke to me went out of her way to ensure my purchase was on the truck that day from Adelaide. And not even two days and received. Now the sleeping bag. We chose this bag as we have the Oztent and boy weren’t we happy we did. These bags are so comfortable and warm worth every cent. We slept in 0 degrees overnight with no problems. Also the convenience of putting together to make huge sleeping bag was also bonus. Thanks Snowys for the great price, great service and happy customers.
This is my second Redgum XL, the first was a R/h zip, I have just purchased a L/h zip model as it suits me better. As I am 190cm tall, this bag is ideal, and there is plenty of room for comfort. The zip out liner is brilliant for adjusting the bag to the seasons, and also for ease of washing to maintain its freshness between trips. The bottom can be unzipped separately to facilitate temperature control. If extra warmth is required, I have found that by unzipping the top half liner and inserting an aircell or other blanket, then rezipping works really well.It allieviates the problem of a blanket over the top sliding off, or getting tangled up in one on the inside. It can easily be left in there when repacking. The next time instore, I will be getting a stuff sack ... Bought two of these to zip together for both an upcoming cold-weather family tent camping trip, and to serve as a doona on a hopefully-soon-to-be-acquired camper-trailer. Tested it in 3 degrees in the backyard in a mesh-sided tent. It was large enough to comfortably fit me, my 4yo and my 6yo kids in it. We were snuggly and warm with no additional bedding required, and no noisy annoying sounds waking us up anytime someone moved. I slept far better than I thought I would. Only issue was that you can't really tighten the upper drawstring when it is fully laden like that, but that is unavoidable.Only downside is that they are a bit big and heavy, but that's why it was so warm. Very happy.
To give some context, I go camping around half a dozen times each year, usually for two-to-three nights, and have done so since I was a kid. This is the second -10 sleeping bag I've owned. Firstly, the XL name is accurate. This is not a bag for hiking. It's big, thick, and very roomy. I first used the bag on the couch of my mate's freezing cold art deco apartment in winter, with no heating. Usually I'll wake up cold in the middle of the night in that place, but this time I woke up in the middle of the night because I was overheating. Last weekend I went camping in the Victorian High Country, Big River area. It was the last weekend of winter, and both mornings were 2.5c at 8am. I sleep in the tub of my ute, open to the sky (if it rains I pull a tarp over myself). ... Last weekend I went camping in the Victorian High Country, Big River area. It was the last weekend of winter, and both mornings were 2.5c at 8am. I sleep in the tub of my ute, open to the sky (if it rains I pull a tarp over myself). Both nights I went to bed fully clothed, and with another layer over the top of my Rivergum XL. I was toasty warm. I don't remember ever being so warm and comfortable before on a camping trip. My only complaints (and they are very minor), is that the opening of the bag is very wide, and the drawstring isn't quite good enough to enclose it, so you can let some heat out. I also suspect that the sleeping bag was designed to be used in a swag, so the compression straps and storage bag are pretty cheap and I don't expect them to last that long. I plan to upgrade to an aftermarket compression bag soon. The zips on the sleeping bag are excellent and don't snag. The fleece lining is very inviting and comfortable, and everything smacks of high quality and good attention to detail. I'm extremely pleased with my Rivergum XL sleeping bag. I shopped around, and Snowy's was the cheapest, and their service was as good as it gets. Two days delivery, packed well, and with full tracking. You cannot ask for anything more.
Great sleeping bags. Super warm and heaps of space to roll in even when joined with another bag. I ordered a LH and RH to zip together, on was packaged wrong from factory and received two LH zips instead. Snowy’s was very helpful and quick to sort the issue out and I had the correct pair only a few days later.
