Such a good purchase! We like to go camping in all weather conditions, took this with us just in case on a weekend that was meant to be sunny, suddenly starts bucketing down! Within 3 minutes we had the inner set up and great shelter. No leaks, good wind breaking, stood strong and didnât have any dramas. Highly recommend.

We had a little pit of rain on a warm night and this insert not only leaked through the roof but also built up a lot of condensation. I bought this one to replace my cheap one that lasted many years and it just isnât worth the money.

This was an ideal tent for me, as a person just returning to outdoorsing after a long time off, and having to assemble a complete, new kit. I decided on this tent after seeing one on eBay (and then went looking for an Aussie store to support), because it would make double-use of something I already had - being my 3m canopy - and that reliance made it cheaper than most others comparatively roomy and of reputable brands.Upon my first time erecting it, my concerns that I would be rusty were shown to be moot, as the design of this product meant it went up so intuitively, I didn't even have to look at the instructions! That dry-run* (thankfully literally, as canopy converter tents are infamously only water-resistant, and I'd yet to have the chance to give it a good ... MoreThis was an ideal tent for me, as a person just returning to outdoorsing after a long time off, and having to assemble a complete, new kit. That dry-run* (thankfully literally, as canopy converter tents are infamously only water-resistant, and I'd yet to have the chance to give it a good 'proofing, myself) was a sleepout party, with s'mores and a micro film festival; and it performed perfectly. The nice straight walls not only gave us more use of the space than more traditional sloped ones, but also made a perfect canvas to stick the polyester projector screen to, with a bit of double-sided tape. I think this is technically an 8-person design, but we all know that tent advertisements use the backpacking human-tetris principle when setting their claims for capacity; we fit 4 people in it with a very comfortable (read: socially-distanced [well, except for the couple]) amount of space for gear and quite generous bedding. It would be luxurious for a twosome (especially if they also used the 2.4m Portico extension and married it to the back door), and positively palatial for a person traveling solo. And with the outside walls on the gazebo also on, we were toasty warm inside, despite a -very- chilly night!I simply can't say enough good things about this tent. My only complaint, if I absolutely had to pick one, is that the ceiling could make better use of the gazebo's extra roof-space - however, since it's standing-height throughout, anyway, I wouldn't really have a leg to stand on. Plus, it would make it a lot harder to hang the ceiling light. If you're considering getting this tent, and already have the gazebo, then I would say just go ahead and do it. It's spacious and airy, and cheaper than most other tents with similar capacity. Just remember that it -is- a gazebo, with all a gazebo's attendant problems, so get yourself some leg weights, and be sure to peg the feet as well as guy out some lines to good-sized, heavy-duty pegs, to deny this baby its inevitable desire to achieve lift-off in any particularly stormy weather. And remember to waterproof it (including the roof; best not to rely on the canopy alone to protect it), and seal the inside seams, before you take it on its first outing.*Always, always, -always- give your tents a dress rehearsal at home before you actually take them camping. At least 70% of negative reviews of tents are from people who got to their campsite before they discovered that something was faulty or missing, and subsequently had a miserable experience that could easily have been avoided. Always trial your tents, and always weather-proof them, while you're at it (no matter how watertight the promotional material for that model says it is; why risk it?).

So much room inside and to be able to stand up is awesome. We had the tent up in windy conditions and the need for guy ropes was imperative. We also have the monsoon side walls which gave us the extra protection. The zipper is my only gripe. You have to be careful or it pinches the weather flap covering the zip. Excellent bang for buck and would buy again.
We have used this several times with no problems, winter and summer camping. The first time we used it was at Christmas time camping at the beach and it went through several very heavy, lengthy storms with no leakage at all. In addition, the space inside is very generous.I always have walls around the full campsite as we have lots of problems with flying, biting insects and this is the only way we can escape and enjoy the evenings. Because this is within the walls and there is a gap between the tent walls and the inner tent there is good ventilation in the hot summers and it prevents the direct sunlight on the tent itself helping to keep the inner tent cooler.
I have since looked further into this after buying one. This is a âweatherproof tent innerâThe rain soaks through the sides and anything close to the edges will get wet eg doonas/pillows/sleeping bags. We had our air beds set up against the tent inner walls and all zips done up - it soaked through the side walls.I suggest, even if it is blue skies allllllll day with an okay weather forecast. Try this tent inner with the gazebo outer walls and tarp awnings off the entire gazebo. Tilt one side of the gazebo so water canât fill up on the top because if it buckets down, youâre stuffed unless you put towels as âinsulationâ between the gazebo and the tent inner ceiling.Iâll probably end up selling this tent inner on a buy swap sell site and hire a camper van next ... MoreI have since looked further into this after buying one. This is a âweatherproof tent innerâThe rain soaks through the sides and anything close to the edges will get wet eg doonas/pillows/sleeping bags. It has a hook to hang a lamp inside. And I put a key ring light on the door zip so the children could easily find the zip to get out during the night to go to the toilet.
Purchase for a scout camp last night. My gazebo is âwaterproofâ ...: except when it gets too soaked under an epic rain session / it starts to drip. So it started to pool on the top of the tent inner and soaked through that. The rain soaked through the side âwaterproofâ walls and the bedding and pillows next to the side walls got soaked. It is awesome but itâs not âwaterproofâ against 60 minutes of non-stop heavy rain. Saturday March 9th 2019. We had fun anyway lol I love the high ceilings because I have a queen air bed that sits almost 1m from the ground and a single air bed and there is a walk way between the beds and enough space for a indoor door mat to wipe our feet and leave out soaked shoes on. My gazebo is not Oz trail. The inner hooks onto my loops inside and fits perfect. I suggest getting side walls perhaps and a awning. (Photos attached are from the other day when it was raining to make sure it was functional) When setting up - tie the roof part to the middle of the gazebo frame first - makes it so much easier to set up.
Used for the first time a couple of weeks ago in Taranaki in bad weather one night and it coped well, although did have water come in somehow as found wet area on air bed, but may have been because one of the bottom zips wasn't done up completely. Will use again in 2 weeks
Awesome addition to our Oztrail Gazebo. Set up in 10 mins with sides. Pack up is the same. Much better option than buying a traditional tent. A tent we can stand up in! No need for a hot cramped changing tent. Sides go on quickly and easily to provide wind and sun protection as well as privacy. Just back from camping over Easter, couldn't be happier with the Tent Inner Kit 3.0 and how awesome it made our camping experience.
I bought an equivalent tent from Big W and returned it after it ripped putting it up. I have had no issues with Oztrail tents and bought newer ones.
