There is an addition to PAC-MAN's moveset in the form of the flutter, which allows the player to stay in the air a little longer in case a jump comes up just short. It was very intuitive to used, but feels a bit like its only needed because of stiffness in the controls. Faithfulness to the original game also means that the bosses are more or less in-tact. If anything, they are a bit easier than in the original game (especially in the ruins where each pad is now connected). As a result of this, however, the game can feel a bit outdated at points though it still holds up very well.PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC doesn't feature a lot of worlds, but each one is quite unique and comes with a very different boss. You'll traverse carnivals, ruins, space, and more, all of which feature unique gimmicks that keep the game fresh. These were of course already featured in the original PAC-MAN WORLD, but they continued to be refreshing in the remake.If you were a fan of the original PAC-MAN WORLD, you'll notice that a few of the characters (no Ms. PAC-MAN) were switched out and the voices were removed entirely. It's not necessarily a negative, the game is perfectly fine without them, but it does somewhat impact the game's atmosphere.

Super cute and fun!

I think this game is fun and a wonderful game to play with the family! It is so colorful and vibrant. It is a joy to play or to watch others play. The game is challenging and has lots of fun characters in it. My daughter and I really enjoy playing it together. We do wish it was a little longer game to play but we still really enjoy the maps on it!

The original PacMan World is very fun, and I was surprised to see they remade it for modern consoles. This game is very enjoyable and is a great platformer. My only issue is that it could use a little more polish on the Switch version, but is a viable version of this game.

Oh man! This game was one of the best games from my childhood. We played this back on my old playstation! I often wondered if I would ever be able to play it again and there it was on the shelf, waiting for me! It was easily one of the best unplanned purchases I have ever made. It hits me right in the feels! It was a very happy day at Best Buy for sure!

Beautiful remake of the PS1 classic. The gameplay is fine but the graphics just cover up a slightly outdated game style. Nothing different story wise from the original. The price is great though!

This game is a remake in all the best ways, it keeps what makes the game fun while enhancing the visuals with a modern coat of paint. This game feels like a perfect extension of the Pac-man formula into 3D, you run, collect dots and fruits and fight against ghost along the way. This being a remake however you can tend to feel the rust in the joints so to speak but if you can look past that this game is grate for new and returning fans alike. However, there isn't much in the way of Challenge but if you just want a relaxing time visiting (or re-visiting) this game i would whole heartedly recommend!

[Rewarded Review] The Pac is Truly Back!

Growing up in the PS2 era, I played a lot of platformers. One that I enjoyed, but never finished was Pac-Man World 2.That was virtually my only experience with Pac-Man in the 3D space. So when I heard they was remaking the 1st game, and considering I never played the original 1st game. I thought I'd give this a shot, and I walked away impressed with just how well the Pac-Man formula transitions to 3D!Along with your typical platformer collectibles & minigames, this is a remake Not to pass up on!Also, the Switch version features performance & fidelity modes...which is kind of unheard of for Switch games. But either way, it's great, and I hope the 2nd game can also get a remake somewhere down the line!
