I find Phantom Parfum very cohesive in its zingy/woody/aromatic scent profile, and there's an addictive quality to the dry/creamy woods (patchouli, vetiver) that kept me coming back everytime I sampled. The loud and cacophonic styrallyl acetate overdose (sharp green note) that was found in the opening of the original has thankfully been toned down to a significant degree. Phantom Parfum is modern and alluring, and the addition of extra warmth and woods renders the Parfum more versatile in terms of occasions (casual to semi-formal, year-round). Add this to the excellent longevity (12+ hours on clothing) and decent (but not overbearing) projection and you've got yourself a fragrance that's signature-scent worthy for younger men.
