Upon first opening this package, the smell was an intoxicating, buttery coconut. It was not subtle but indeed delightful. It arrived on a hot day, and maintained its whipped texture. It absorbed into my skin fairly fast, leaving only a small amount of residue that kept it feeling moisturized. Now for the bad- after sitting on my skin for a bit, the smell is horrible (I’m freshly showered so I know it’s not me!). It smells like chemicals, with a little bit of coconut. This product contains phenoxyethanol, an ingredient that can cause irritation, endocrine disruption, and is a pollutant. I try to use products that are organic, or have regulated ingredients that do not pose a health hazard. I will probably not continue to use this product.

I have used Palmer’s classic cocoa butter lotion for over a decade, so I was so excited to try out this new whipped Brazilian coco cream! It’s very different from the original Palmers lotion, but it’s still just as good! The coconut scent is delicious and reminds me of the Trader Joe’s coconut lotion but longer-lasting. The texture is very smooth and sinks into my skin very easily! My skin looks very hydrated and moisturized and also surprisingly glittery! I didn’t see any glitter when I looked at the tub of lotion but once applied to the skin, there’s a fine shimmer/glitter. This is an added bonus in my opinion :)! I look forward to seeing if this product goes visibly firm skin as well!

I just bought my second tub of Brazilian Coco Cream. I usually use Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Coconut Hydrate lotion and love the scent, but it was out of stock at the store I shop at and saw this Coco Cream, so trusting Palmer's I tried it. It's wonderful and it makes my skin glow. I love the cute tub. Sometimes pumps get clogged and this cream is thick, so a tub is the best idea. I'm still using the lotion, especially on the cracked skin on my hands. I wash my hands quite often and find the pump bottle convenient for using as a hand cream.
