Been using this for years and have loved it. Then Palmer's decided to change it. Despite putting "same great formula" all over the new packaging, it is a totally different product. The ingredients list is totally different and the smell, colour and texture are all different too.The other review on here is spot on, it is now an awful white product that sits on top of your lips and looks awful and does not do what it's supposed to.Palmers, you made a mistake with this. Change it back as this product is now horrendous.

Since they've changed the ingredients (and maybe since they whacked on the UV cover?) it's awful. It sits on your lips like sun screen and looks white and weird. Your lips end up looking grey. Also, I hate how it tastes now.I use Palmer's Cocoa Butter everything, but not the lip balm anyway. It's better to rub a bit of the moisturiser on my lips and deal with the chemically taste than it is to smear this ghastly stuff on my face and look like I'm dying of frostbite.Palmers, please, please, please change the formula back!

I loved the Original formula so much that when I travelled to the UK, I usually stocked a whole year's worth of Palmer's Lip balm. However, this year, to my surprise, the lip balm doesn't smell, feel or taste the same as the Original formula which everyone loves. At first I thought, I bought a dupe or a fake Palmer's lip balm and tried to find out why the color of the lip balm is much lighter than the previous ones I had, the smell more of a fake vanilla perfume rather than the natural vanilla & cocoa butter food smell and makes my lips white after applying it. Also if you wanted to be provide an eco-friendly alternative then please, make a different version or line of the lip balm and sell it parallel with the original formula just like the coconut oil version and not replace an already well-established formula that people are using for decades. I have attached 3 photos of the original lip balm with the reformulated lip balm.
Absolutely gutted, I loved this product as it smelt like white chocolate and made my lips really soft plus with the added benefit of SPF it was a total winner. Since the so called new look, same formula, it does not smell the same at all! It's an absolute lie that the formula has not changed as the ingredients have definitely changed according to the old versus new! The new one now smells like gone off playdough and it now leaves a bright white residue on the lips....not an attractive look! Seriously Palmers....what was wrong with the old version, bring it back I say!! Will not be buying anymore, very disappointed.
I'm so disappointed that what used to be one of the best lip balms on the market have changed their formula. The old ones with the "original" text on the blue line were great. The new ones, that just say lip balm are beyond horrible. The inside is a solid white block instead of the more transparent colour. Moreover, it makes your lips and mouth area look white for hours after application. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA. Yours Sincerely, a disappointed, but formerly loyal customer from the UK.

It still amazes me that through the years I spent hundreds of dollars on fancy products for my lips and face (that made all sorts of promises but never delivered), when all along the BEST products were the least expensive! Overall, I love Palmer's products and I'm definitely a customer for life!
Please bring back your old formula. I don't understand why you had to change it? I buy that particular lip balm for years and it was the best on the market but the new one is horrible, it stinks and it dries out your lips. I'm not gonna buy it again. I will go to all shops to get as many of the old ones I can but won't buy the new one. Such a shame! Why would you change something what was absolutely brilliant in the first place? Not a happy customer
This was my favourite lip balm for a few years. The new formula is genuinely terrible. It has got an awful foul smell (they list "parfum" in the ingredients, but it smells terrible and unlike anything I've ever smelled), it leaves the lips white (makes you look like you're severely ill...), it feels a lot less hydrating, and I cannot continue using it. It was so bad when I got the new balm that I bought another one to double-check that I didn't simply just get a bad batch and I can confirm - it is equally terrible and unusable. It makes me sad as this was by far my favourite lip balm before the formula changed!
