Best microwave Ive ever had

My Panasonic microwave is the best microwave Ive ever had. It is so user friendly, much like an Apple iPhone , every button has a good use whereas before Ive hardly used any of the buttons on a microwave. Its just so intuitive. But if you dont hit the start button in exactly , and I mean EXACTLY the right spot, it wont work. Because I bought it online, and weve been in Lockdown since, I havent been able to go in and ask them about this problem, because Im sure its a fault. But I will do when and if we ever come out of Lockdown. And I dont know how to microwave something for say 15 secs, anything less than a round total of 10 secs. There is no way to do that. So you have to stand there and just stop the machine when it has done the 15 secs or whatever. But apart from ... MoreMy Panasonic microwave is the best microwave Ive ever had. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the problem with the start button and that I cant microwave for anything less than the whole 10 secs.

We bought this about 10months ago freom HN Hoppers Crossing and were initially happy We bought this microwave about 10 mon this ago and were initially pleased with its performance. Over time however, it seems to have lost power and we are finding we need to heat things 2 or sometimes 3 times to get it hot without killing the food. We just wanted something small to reheat meals etc and were told this would be suitable. We have had a number of different microwaves over the years that performed well for many years and this was our first panasonic product and we would not buy another again based on our experience with this microwave.

Its a great microwave with loads of features and a good size as well. Probably the only knock on this new version is you have to hit the micro power button before adding cooking time. This was not the case on our previous model (Also Panasonic 32L from a few years back) and its not mentioned anywhere in the manual. I thought it was faulty and was going to return it until my son basically mashed buttons and fluked across the answer. Weird that you dont need to hit micro power to add 30 second increments but do for 10 min, 1 min and 10 second intervals. However, once you know that bit its a mighty fine machine with more features than Ill ever need and our previous one lasted over a decade.

Great Microwave, highly recommended
29 September 2022

We love this microwave, it's so easy to use and has plenty of room inside. The sensor reheat is amazing, it perfectly reheats every dish we put in there. Lots of features built in making it simple to use. The only small negatives are the microwave moves easily when closing the door, and as it sits in an enclosed purpose built space under our bench top, the microwave has to be adjusted to pull it back to the front of the opening every other use. The writing on the buttons is also a bit hard to read, this is mainly due to the location so just a personal gripe and not a fault of the microwave at all. We can highly recommend this microwave, we did a lot of research before purchasing and bought this model due to the very positive reviews, and we are glad we did.

Great microwave

Great microwave for basic heating and defrosting. Good power level that heats quickly. I have had the microwave for @ 1 month and so far so good. I found the one time I used the sensor cook to reheat leftovers it overcooked it so I haven't used it again. The stainless steel gets fingerprints and watermarks easily but cleans up well with stainless steel cleaner and the black control pannel also shows fingerprints but a quick wipe over with a dry cloth gets rid of these. You can see through to the food cooking whilst in operation which makes it easier to avoid spills where as some of the other microwaves on the market have really dark doors which looks visually appealing but I believe you can't see inside the machine whilst operating.

Intuitive Features
31 July 2022

This microwave has a large interior - even though it is the same size externally as the one I had, the inside is larger. The button to open pushes in super easy and gently. We had to use the manual the first week to get used to the function keys but now we use with ease for perfect results. The sensor reheat is a family favourite and reheats perfectly each time. My personal favourite is the defrost - the inverter does this without any ‘cooked’ spots. It’s as if it came right from the butcher and ready to cook!

Not As user friendly as Sharp microwave are
25 February 2022

Limitations You can not type in (key in) 5, 7or 9 seconds for a toast of bread You have to press TWICE to heat a simple thing. Why not 1 press for 10 seconds? Can only add in MULTIPLES of 30 seconds and then add 1 minute Very cumbersome to use. Why did I buy this despite knowing? Previous Sharp microwave magnetron burnt within 9 months after 1 repair Could not find the STEEL look colour in the new Sharp microwave that was offered to me. Steel look was only available in Panasonic microwave. Hence compromised all above and I cringe my teeth every time I use Panasonic microwave. It will be years when I'll have next good easy to use microwave. Pls consider very carefully before you buy as you can not buy every day. Thanks

Not that impressed.

I would rate this better if I could turn the beeper off. This unit was clearly designed by a bunch of engineers who dont actually use their own product. Having this in the kitchen with its incessant and useless beeping for absolutely everything is nearly enough to demand a refund (and No not many beeps are actually for safety issues Panasonic!)Additionally Panasonic have reverted to making this model require more button presses than the previous model - why Just so I and all the neighbours down the street can here more beeps!!This microwave actually shows complete contempt for the user. Bravo Panasonic. Please fix your lazy design and issue a public apology (since all the neighbours can hear it too), or in the very least give away free earplugs for future models.

Satisfactory
17 May 2021

Having used a Sharp Carousel microwave which lasted only 4 years, I decided to try a different brand. After some research I chose the Panasonic with hopes it will last longer than its predecessor. So far I find the Panasonic satisfactory, but not perfect. I use a microwave mainly for heating, melting and defrosting, rather than for meal cooking. For these purposes the oven functions well, no complaints. My reservations are more to do with function choice. The microwave does not have 1 second increments, with 10 seconds being the shortest time programmable and I found the possibility of adding just 5 or so seconds on the Sharp was an often used feature for me, so I do miss it now. Having to select the Power every time the oven is used is a nuisance - one would have ... MoreHaving used a Sharp Carousel microwave which lasted only 4 years, I decided to try a different brand. Having to select the Power every time the oven is used is a nuisance - one would have thought the default of "full power" (1100) could have been used, as was the case with the Sharp. I do like the timer feature on the Panasonic. In terms of the physical side of the microwave, the force needed to close the door has meant that it has been necessary to put non-slip pads under the feet to ensure that the unit does not move back as the door is closed. Also, I chose the stainless steel version of the oven this time, but the end (or side) of the unit is just grey, not actually stainless. This is not a problem if the unit is in a cavity, but mine is on a shelf with the one end exposed - just a minor quibble.

Works as the way it is

This is second Panasonic 32L Inberter Microwave we have. Comparing old one, it is a bit taller. However , we manage to adjust the shielf to fit in. The menu is more easier to use. Everything is good. The only catch for this time buying exerience is The Good Guys uses Toll Ipec Express courier to ship the good. It takes more than a week and a lot of call to chase. In the end, I have to set deadline for reject the goods to get Toll Ipec to deliver. Every couriers has delay due to high demand. However, Toll Ipec is the worse one. The goods can sit in their warehouse for ever if you don't chase it. Maybe this is the way they can offer cheap rate to The good guys chain store. However, It does drag down The good Guys reputation and cost their extra effect to deal this. ... MoreThis is second Panasonic 32L Inberter Microwave we have. Comparing old one, it is a bit taller.
