I was gifted the SR-DA152WST 8-cup Rice Cooker in exchange for an honest review on Panasonicās website. I haven't had a rice cooker for over 10 years, relying on making rice in a pot on my stove top so I was keen to try out the Panasonic rice cooker... well, I don't know why I waited so long to get a rice cooker. It takes the guess work out of making rice so I don't need to stand around waiting and checking to see if my rice is done. Also, it was very handy in making Filipino Lugaw (which is similar to congee) which I was craving for. The rice cooker has a congee function which I used for the recipe and it came out very lucious.

I bought this rice cooker last month. Using this appliance the family have enjoyed flawless brown rice, white rice, steamed coconut rice and even a delicious mushroom and leek risotto with Arborio rice where the whole meal was cooked using only this appliance.Itās almost impossible not to succeed and itās a dream to clean after the meal. This appliance is a must in every kitchen.
To start, it looks so cute on my bench. I donāt have much space, so it is the perfect size. I mainly use it for brown rice, so this is a great feature too. Thanks Panasonic & Harvey Norman! Also, CHOICE helped me make this choice. I am one person, so I didnāt want a ā10 cupā cooker. This suits me well.

I bought this rice cooker 2 weeks ago from the goodguys. It is easy to use. Has multiple functions to cook rice or brown rice or congee. So far it has been working well. The rice is nicely cooked. Only downside is the water accumulates next to the inner pot towards the back.

Again, the setup was easy: measure 2 cups of rice, wash, add to the pan, then add water to the line. Then close the lid, select the brown rice setting, and begin. Being brown rice, it took over an hour to cook, which was longer than I expected. However, I understand that the rice cooker adjusts the time based on the contents and weight, so the time fluctuates during the cooking process, and it was quicker than I initially anticipated.Once again, the results were perfect. The brown rice was cooked to perfection, with a perfect consistency.Finally, I tested cooking plain white rice. As expected, it produced perfect rice. The best part is that I realised the rice cooker keeps the rice warm until you are ready to use it. You can set it to start ahead of cooking your meal, and when it's finished cooking, it just stays on a keep-warm function until you're ready to use it.Overall, the rice cooker has definitely met my expectations. Being able to cook entire meals in the device has made me love it even more. My microwave rice days are over!
I am absolutely in love with this item. Its been a few weeks but this is an absolute 1 pot wonder. For someone like me who lives alone, i can batch cook the rice which comes out perfect everytime. Soup as pictured taste amazing but mainly this for me is about convenience and consistency. Have not tried congee or rice cooker hainan chicken rice but this should do it. Itās simple enough to get the job done.
