Filling your room with natural, high-quality sound, this Panasonic Micro System makes it a simple matter to get the tunes flowing. Wirelessly connect your smart devices to this Micro System through Bluetooth, or play your music through the provided CD drive and USB port. Digital audio files tend to lose portions of the high-frequency signal when compressed, which is why this Micro System benefits from an Audio Remaster. The Remaster function compensates the lost signal in Bluetooth files, CDs, and MP3s, to achieve high-quality audio. If you enjoy listening to the radio, the PM600 has you covered, with AM and FM tuners built into the system. Regardless of what you choose to listen to, your audio will be heard clearly, with plenty of bass impact.

Excellent sound for 129 watts - great build quality - and no distortion at high volume. The FM aerial is too short, I will have to buy a longer one to get good reception. Otherwise, I would rate it 5 stars.

While the sound quality is adequate, I am extremely disappointed that it does not have any 'audio out' ports which has made it impossible to connect any additional internal wired speakers or the wired speakers I have mounted on the outside of my house. Additionally, it is difficult to use the radio as there is no way to set preferred stations. I also think that for that kind of money, a turntable should be included.

Bought this after long deliberations. Wanted a simple but good quality DAB radio and an amplifier for our turntable. This system is small, but sound is excellent for a living room. The added bonus is Bluetooth, so you can stream music as well, if you're not in a retro-mood.Speaker cord (cable) is pretty short, so you need to buy some extra cord for that. Perfect little sound system!

Best sounding system in its price range, for sure. I listen to a lot of classical (orchestral, opera, piano etc) and for this the balance and clarity are exceptional for the speaker size.It also handles heavier music (hard rock, metal) surprisingly well, and vocals come through great so is good for pop etc too.
I've always been reluctant to make 'big' purchases on-line, but having read the reviews published on-line, I decided to make an exception to my rule. It was easy for me to set up - (I am 77 years young) - and I even managed, without any bother, to connect my Audio Technics turntable (purchased from JB HI FI approx. 5 years ago). Once connected, I was more than happy with my decision - the sound is crisp and clear; the initial set-up instructions of all functions were easy to follow; AND it takes up about a quarter of the room of my previous sound system, without any loss of quality of sound. A wonderful product!!
So this Panasonic shelf HiFi is the most expensive micro HiFi from JB. Is it worth it?It sits in my home office and replaced a a JVC mini Hi Fi that I had for over 20 years - it wouldn't play new CD s I bought to keep me company during WFH lockdown so I looked for something that would- play CDs- digital Radio- connect to my PC (I need for PC audio)- bluetooth connectivity to play stuff from my phone- quality sound. Not being able to visit a store it wasn't possible to test the sound against cheaper options - but hey - I find you get what you pay for when it comes to audio equipment.Setup instructions are clear and easy to follow. The sound for CDs and DAB is lush, full of bass when it's needed, vocals some through strong and clear.I can't fault the sound ... MoreSo this Panasonic shelf HiFi is the most expensive micro HiFi from JB. I have not tested this but it may appeal to some buyers.Stuff I don't like. The speaker cable that comes with it is less than a metre long - good enough to set up as per the picture but if you want the speakers and the unit separate be prepared to buy a new set.To select the different inputs there is one button on the unit to cycle through the choices (there are 9)The remote has 2 buttons to select input, one button for CD/USB and one button to cycle thru the other 7. For the cost I would expect each input to have its own button either on the unit or on the remote. Considering your use you may find this frustrating (I do).On my old mini HiFi I could select the input and that would turn it on and to that input - the Panasonic doesn't have this feature and I miss it.Overall I'd recommend just for the pure joy of the sound quality (I'm playing Cub Sport and smiling my face off)
Excellent clear, robust sound from such a compact unit. Easy to connect Bluetooth to multiple devices. FM radio gets strong signal which results in clear sound. I also use as an alternative to my TV sound bar for a different sound experience. Overall pleased with the unit as it performs to my expectations.
I bought this to replace my Panasonic 660W surround sound system that has had its day after 15 years service.I could not believe the clarity and depth of sound when I connected my Audio Technics turntabe to it. It just blew me away and I have over a 1,500 lp vinyl records and still buying occassionally. This is defineately a winner. Highly recommended.
This has clearly superior sound to every cheaper unit Harveys were offering at the time, and you basically have to step up to this if you want a full choice of input options. The construction is better, though I don't know how the marketing material can say the speakers are "..made of high-quality lumber" when the label on the actual speakers says "simulated wood"! The main thing is it doesn't sound tinny or muddy. To me this unit goes beyond the glorified clock radio micro systems and is more of an entry-level 'proper system'. Some negatives: The display consists of just one line of text with almost no extra status icons, so you have to access the relevant menu to check things like whether the bass boost or surround sound is active. There aren't buttons for everything on the main unit - some functions require you to use the remote control. The supplied speaker leads are quite short, but the system uses those fiddly screw terminals at both ends so you could easily make some longer leads. Maximum volume isn't particularly loud if that's a concern.
Picked one of these up earlier this week. OMG!! The sound quality from these units must be heard.make sure to update the firmware also, this helps sort out a few issues. Then speaker wire it comes with is about 2 meter long , glad I had some spare speaker wire kicking round and replace it easily enough. The DABS radio and fm radio work a treat. The only thing I still can't get working is getting the stereo to wake up from being off when audio is played to the RCA input even though I have read the instructions and set it up exactly as per instructions and even can't get it working after firmware updates. However, you want crystal clear, loud , deep sounding audio, that uses hardly any restate, then this is for you.the speakers are ported at the rear and it ... MorePicked one of these up earlier this week. Many will knock it as the spec sheet says 60WRMS. However, wait till you crank up the volume knob , you won't be disappointed.
