I ordered a camera body and it was DOA. I sent it back, but the tracking number on the return label was the same as the original, so it took two weeks to make a round trip back to me. I got an updated return label with a new number, it was returned finally. A replacement body was dispatched, but it too was DOA. I already own two of these, and I have many batteries, so I know that the cameras were both non-functional. Asked and received a refund in a timely manner. Customer service was stellar throughout. Wound up getting another body from a different vendor, and no problems with that body. Dunno what's up, but LR really needs to do some checking on their used inventory before it gets shipped out.

I've owned several Panasonic micro four thirds cameras, and while the field sequential EVFs weren't great for me, they were useable. I was interested in the G100, but decided to rent before buying, and I'm glad I did.The camera is okay - it's basic Panasonic fare. It has all the features you'd expect in its price range plus it's very lightweight. What made me decide not to buy one is the EVF. They moved away from their old style of EVF, and while this one looks better if you're not panning or tracking something, when you do move the camera, the EVF is very jittery. It's like only every other frame shows up. If you take static shots, this won't bother you at all, but I take pics of birds in flight and some moving wildllife, so for me, this camera was a no-go. ... MoreI've owned several Panasonic micro four thirds cameras, and while the field sequential EVFs weren't great for me, they were useable. Otherwise it's fine to use, and those looking for a lower priced, low weight Panasonic will probably like what the G100 has to offer. So the camera would get 4 stars from me if it weren't for the EVF plus 1 star for value. To me due to the EVF, it's a 3 1/2 star camera. Otherwise it would be a 4 or 5 star review.I'm so happy LensRentals had this in stock so I didn't have to go through the hassle of buying and returning the camera.LensRentals support, packaging and ease of return were top notch, as always.

If you want quality video/audio in a small package, get this! One of the reviews mentioned the error message with the SD card. This camera does not work with micro SD to SD adapters. So you have to have a regular sized SD card.ProsFantastic image stabilization, auto focus, and adjustable programmable buttons. Excellent built-in mic. So many pros- read the features.ConsNo external battery chargerSeems fragile so be carefulYou might want to buy a charger for extra batteries, because the only way to charge this out of the box is through charging the camera itself.

This is the best camera I've ever had. Seems like with digital around I wind up re-camera-ing about every 5 years and I have never been able to do expensive stuff so my last 2 cameras were a Nikon d32 and a Nikon 1 s1. This G100 is everything I hoped for in the Nikon 1's. Picture quality is astounding. Best picture quality I have ever had and best auto-focus I have ever had. I compared picture quality of this g100 against my Galaxy s22 in which Samsung is touting a professional grade camera in this phone, and without question the g100 pictures are better in every way. So I mainly got this for blogging and this camera exceeds my needs, very happy I made this purchase.
Got this as my first mirrorless camera and it's surprisingly well built with a plethora of functions. I really don't think it's a vlogging camera as advertised but its a great all rounder. One big disadvantage of this model is the lack of IBIS for stills. Depending on your intended use, I highly recommend you get a gimbal stabilizer and/or a lens which has built-in stabilization. Also be aware that 4K capture with the built in stabilization will crop the video significantly. To fully take advantage of this camera you definitely need good glass. Particularly anything from f1.2-1.8 for low light situations since this has a smaller sensor. I completely ignored the kit lens and got 2 sigma lenses - 16mm and 30mm f1.4 lenses along with a Lumix 45-150m f4 zoom ... MoreGot this as my first mirrorless camera and it's surprisingly well built with a plethora of functions. I love this camera! It works so well and takes excellent quality pictures and videos! My favorite features of the LUMIX include the compact size and how it is so easy to be able to take high quality photos and videos with something small! I don't have to carry my huge dslr everywhere. The voice capture is also amazing. It has this new tech by Nokia that captures audio amazingly well by using a voice tracker! You can talk to the camera and it will isolate your voice! if you're some like me and are always on the go- you will love the transfer to phone function! I love it because I can easily upload to my social media if I want to or edit pictures and videos on my phone easily.
I love that I can carry it with me anywhere. But don't let its small size fool you; the Lumix is a powerhouse that delivers stunning details and clarity thanks to its 4K video recording feature. And with the ability to record 4K videos at 30 frames per second, my videos have never looked better. But it's not just the video quality that impresses me. The internal mic of this camera features OZO Audio by Nokia, and the audio is just as compelling as the visuals. Plus, with its 5-axis hybrid I.S. technology, I can walk and shoot without worrying about camera shake. It's perfect for capturing action shots or videos while on the go. Overall, I can confidently say that the Lumix is a game-changer for anyone looking for a high-quality camera that's versatile, easy to use, and delivers excellent results. So if you're a vlogger, videographer, or photographer, I highly recommend giving the Panasonic Lumix DC-G100KK a try. Trust me; you won't be disappointed.
I don't get why many Youtubers put so much hate on this capable little camera. I use this camera mainly for traveling and taking B-Roll shots for my internship Job. It is more than capable to take top notch video and photos. If you want to know the video limit, shooting in 4k(No Crop) is 10 mins. 1080p 60fps is 20 mins, 1080p 30fps is 30 mins. Overall, it is more than enough to have it as professional B-Roll Shot camera because of it's lightweight size and stabilization(recommend standard, High will crop your image).Panasonic Lumix's Color's are phenomenal, but they only fall short when it comes to low light performance. I mean it is expected, because the small sensor(MFT). I mean it is expected, because the small sensor(MFT). If you want to still shoot it in low light without having any noise, you would have to purchase a lens that has 2.0 or below aperture to give you the extra bit of light. I recommend the 25mm 1.7 lens, it cost as low $150 that has good AF. The AF in this camera is good, not great nor amazing. But it is enough to get by. Panasonic and Olympus has endless of lens options that are great quality! Price range is from $100 and up. Plus, the focal length is 2X , because of it's small sensor. For an Example, a 25mm for a MFT will considered to be 50mm. A nice little portrait lens. It is also have a built in mic port which most camera in this price range will not have one. Since, I'm a student from my university, I got this camera for $536 plus tax; which it is steel considering what it can do for a small compact camera. Now, if you were planning to use it as your main camera, then I recommend to look else where. This camera good for people who wants it as your B camera or want it to move from smartphone to the camera world. This camera grows with you as you learn about Photography/Cinemaphotography.

The only thing the takes away from this camera is the battery life, that being said, the small battery was a bonus for me. It meant that it’s super small and light, it’s very easy to have an extra battery in your bag but I haven’t needed it yet. Then there is this kit that comes with it, really handy and compact stand or stick with function buttons makes it super easy to travel with or take longer shots with the quick pop out stand.
I was looking to replace an older, very bulky Lumix with an updated model. The G100 has all the functionality I need - and great video options. It is small enough that I can carry it to journal everyday events - yet it has enough grip. The color is great in daylight - I have not tested under low-light conditions. I like the articulated screen - which strangely enough was left off comparable models I was considering. I am happy with the interface, consistent as usual - but wish the wifi setup was less cumbersome.Drawbacks: only a mic in, no headphone in. - and I wish Panasonic would have paired it with a longer zoom lens.
