If you are itching for a solid piece of gear to fuel your schizo bulk, you can't go pass this one! My rice has never been fluffier and stayed so warm for so long, if you're the type to meal prep, or need to feed a family of 7 on short notice, to choose any other piece of technology would leave you as crazy as the sheer gains ive achieved after 1 week of rice consumption. Buy now or forever regret your decisions, among other things. Panasonic you've hit an absolute home run of a dinger, can't wait to see you at the christmas party!!

This is good small rice cooker with multiple cooking options. The bright LED display is much better than the old model with LCD display. It shows the remaining time for most cooking option except cooking rice. This is rice cooker has all option and menu on display, which makes it very easy to use (no set up work is needed). The only thing I feel a bit uncomfortable is that when cooking rice, the LED does not show the remaining time until near the end of cooking (around 15 minutes before finish) . But when doing steam or cook porridge, it shows the remaining time right after you press the "start" button, which is what I expect. Besides, the price is higher than the bigger rice cooker (Panasonic SR-CN188WSt.

This is genuinely one of the best kitchen appliances I've ever purchased, it's very versatile and very easy to clean and works quite quickly. It can do multiple different types of rices, steam dumplings/buns, etc. and I haven't had any problems with my unit so far, the only thing to take into consideration is brown rice takes a very long time to cook, although this is to be expected.

Very pleased with this rice cooker. I've only cooked basmati rice a few times so far, but it has come out perfectly each time. I'm sure it does an amazing job with medium and short grain as well as sticky rice too, looking forward to try them all. I give the rice a good wash until the water runs clear and (because basmati likes to be soaked for 20-30 min before cooking) I follow basic included instructions (White Rice) and use the timer set to one hour. This gives me plenty of time to prepare and cook the rest of the meal. When the rice cooker is done, the little chime sounds and the rice is ready to go. Lovely, fluffy, singular grains of rice with the perfect hint of chew/bite. Pros: Perfect rice with ability to adjust to your liking. Provided cup is perfect for 1 to 2 people (depending how hungry they are). 5 cup capacity is enough for 5 to 10 people. Warm function is great and does not dry out the rice. Rice doesn't burn or stick to the pan, even with smaller 1 cup load. You get to eat every perfect grain :) Cons: None that I have noticed or can foresee at this time. This is the best rice I've experienced at home, much better than our old rice cooker and/or cooking rice old school style in a pot. Easy to highly recommend this product.

Great product with great rice

Was researching rice cookers other then kmart specials. Found this bad boy and it's pretty good. Has lots of options for different rice types. Really easy to pull apart and clean. Great fluffy rice from it. Little bulky if you have a tiny kitchen.

Nice little rice cooker

I love this rice cooker. It's a great size - doesn't take much room on the counter. It takes a little longer than the stove top but you can set and forget it, which is why we wanted it. The timer function is good, but doesn't start counting down straight away. So you might only find out it has 10 mins to go when it's been cooking already for 20 mins.

Perfect size for two or up to 4 people. Love this cute and space saving cooker. Previously owned a larger 10 cup model, realised never cooked rice to that full capacity. A 10cup cooker might be useful if you intend to steam food in the tray provided, otherwise 5cup size cooker is just right. So far have tried cooking white rice and oats. Very happy with how my oats turns out, just the right texture. So much better than manually cooking oats over the stove. Love the timer feature too. Set the timer and it promptly cook as per setting. And its so easy to clean.

Well worth the purchase.

The ideal rice cooker. All the complaints people made about the cheaper model (hard to clean the lid, no beep when it's done, etc.) were all fixed in this model. I always thought rice cookers were silly, as I don't like single use appliances and you can just cook rice in a pot. However, I have been converted! I didn't even realise how bad the rice I cooked in a pot was until I used this. I don't think I can ever go back to pot rice now.
