This line of InkJoy gel pens are usually my favorite for black ink, but the red on this was a bit off—kind of on the orange side and not too saturated in color. Not really a suitable pen for proofreader marks or weaving in and out of 12-point printed text. Might be good for color-coded grocery lists or refrigerator notes. But this is two stars lower than their black ink version of the exact same pen.

Great Pens… As long as you don’t get a bad batch

I’ve bought 3 sets of these at this point. They are GREAT for note taking/documentation for charts after emergency calls. The first two packs lasted much longer than expected considering they are used for 12 hours 5 days a week for work. The first two packs lasted a good 6 months with that much usage. Naturally, when the 2nd pack started to go, I bought a 3rd cause I love how these pens write.I must have received a pack from a bad batch this time because at least 1/3 of the pens won’t write after about 2 hours of intermittent note taking/documentation for my charts. Great gel pen, doesn't smear, writes easy, good color

Had to look all over to find someone who could customize this pen, most of the papermate gel pens out there are a cheaper version called the RT. This is the actual ink joy, its a little thicker, with a rubbery grip, writes very smooth and doesn't smear. Our logo and name came out really sharp. Very happy with them, will be ordering again.

If you like bold writing

I buy the multi-pak of the colorful InkJoy pens often. I like the boldness of the colors and the many choices. For instance, their pink is visible whereas another well-known brand has a pink that is basically unseeable. I needed black so I bought these. One recommendation: they do indeed dry quickly and that facet also makes them more prone to seem dried out. Store them vertically with the writing end down. They will last much longer.

Love them when they work

The pens themselves write GREAT. I love them so much and the colors are so nice and the pen writes smooth but any color other than black has trouble showing up on paper. I thought it was just lighter colors but it seems to be every color that’s not black. I have to go over the same word several times to get the pen to write. This is a huge disappointment because, like I said, I really like the way they write when they are working correctly. In the photo I attached, you can see the difference between the black and light blue color.

No Joy From this Ink

I love the blue Papermate Inkjoy I bought as a 2-pack, so I thought this was a steal! Unfortunately, the consistency of the ink, the flow of the ink, & the construction of the pen overall, were HUGE disappointments. While writing, the ink would thin out & then randomly get really thick, also skipping when I’d underline something & begin new words sometimes. The construction of the pen was also annoying. The second most important component of this pen, being the “click” mechanism, would get stuck & I’d have to try & click it back into place somehow. Overall, the ease that a simple pen should bring, is, unfortunately, NOT, with this particular brand’s model. I’d recommend the Pilot G2 for black gel pens, & this is coming from a lefty. I waited until I had rewards and a coupon in my wallet when I bought these, and am for the most part happy about the pen pack. After swatching, I saw that the light green, light magenta, and grapepurple colors are identical to inks found in Pilot B2P and BIC Gelocity gel pens, so if youve invested in those, youre getting repeat colors but in a finer nib. Everything else is a great selection of colors. I did get some trouble with the darker magenta where I had to do a bunch of scribbling before it wrote smoothly. And even then, youre going to get a bit of feedback because of the nib size. The design of the pen is smooth and smartlooking, definitely the more attractive additions to my gel pen pouch. Unhappy

Every one of the pens so far has basically been dry. They look like they are full of ink. I have attempted to use several. I thought after 2 or 3 I might have a good one. Not one as been a good one. I bought these from a Walmart seller. It was a good deal. But not when they don’t work. I think because I threw them away after I realized they stopped working one by one, and did not save them—I’ve lost my 10 bucks too. Lesson learned. Hang onto those dud pens❤️

“Joy” to write with. Dries quickly!

I love these gel pens! They write without clumping at the end as some gel or regular pens do. The tips have a little nub on the tip, preventing them from drying out before you get them. Last a long time. These are my “go to” pens when I want bright, bold colors. The colors are prismatically accurate.
