Delina Exclusif is very similar to Miss Dior Cherie; another perfume I frequently wear. This perfume is quite expensive at $350 per bottle. I had the opportunity to purchase a travel size through Scentbird for $8.47 in June. This is a beautiful perfume that has better longevity and projection than most I have tried. I wear it often and definitely recommend it.

I always include in my perfume reviews that I have trouble with fragrances lasting or meshing well with my body chemistry. I could still smell this the next day, which was shocking. It is a very elegant, non-stuffy or traditional rose scent. The bottle is exquisite, and even has a little jewel on top. My only problem is that it smells very similar to one I already have; Chloé. This is the perfect name for a fragrance. Delina… when you think about that name honestly doesn’t someone beautiful come to mind? That’s exactly this fragrance. She’s beautiful. The opening smells a bit like a tart filling for a pastry in my opinion, smells like litchi and rhubarb however some vanilla and musk sneak in and a little bit of rose. On the skin it does smell a bit powdery mixed with florals but it does not smell dusty nor old. It’s very classy kind of like a bathroom full of ladies who dust their noses and have nice outfits on. It is not creamy like Delina Exclusif. Its definitely more tart like when you’re biting into a green apple like that. Delina reminds me of holding a fresh bouquet of roses with the roses smell (very Damascene rose), but that the bouquet had earthy smells like the stems and leaves.........So picture that Damascene rose bouquet (Damascene is more of a watery rose).....So you are holding that Damascene rose bouquet, BUT here is the kicker you are on Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland (specifically the Disneyland version with the musky, mossy, smell). In this amazing fragrance of Parfums de Marly immediately after spraying it I can feel sweet fruity and floral notes. Delina is romantic and feminine, soft and delicate fragrance but it has a lot of presence and character. The vanilla in this fragrance adds depth to the whole composition and makes it quite addictive. The incorporation of rhubarb and Litchi in the notes of Delina was quite an unexpected move and it makes the fragrance quite unique. I mean I hated Nishane Ani for a solid week it was an awful overwhelming ginger bomb where I couldn’t smell anything other than ginger and now it’s my favorite perfume in my entire collection It’s my signature scent and my nose picks up on all the notes now so with that in mind I decided to force myself to wear Delina Exclusif and on the second day I found myself not hating it as much then the third day I found myself really enjoying the opening of the fragrance. From then on it’s been me falling head over heels for this one. Parfums de marly isn’t for everyone I can’t even explain how complicated it is on your nose until you expose yourself to it more and more. The average person most likely would think this fragrance is no good I’ll be honest but for those who love scents and understand that sometimes you have to give them a few chances to really develop them you might really fall in love because for me this went from smelling like cheap red wine almost dizzying tbh but now I smell individual notes and the burst of fruits and rose mixed with this sensual creaminess and just a hint of smokiness from the incense. It’s intoxicating and so surprising to me because I went on a journey with this brand and this blind buy was risky for me but I’m so thankful. Parfums de marly is known for their beast scents that fill a room and last so insanely long. This one is no different it’s powerful and so long lasting. But the smell is so unique and so addictive that even though you can still smell it on your skin and clothes hours later you’ll still want to spritz yourself again just to experience that beautiful opening. I’ve never smelled something that was so fresh/fruity, so powdery, and so sensual all at the same time. It’s soooo good that I might get the OG Delina because if this one can be this good while sharing such similar dna to the original then I’m thinking the hype around it might be worth it. I recommend Delina Exclusif endlessly. Everyone that loves sexy feminine fragrances that are rich in complexity then this scent is a must have. It’s a need. If I could only keep 5 fragrances for life then this would be my number 3. It’s that good. PDM is hit or miss but this fragrance is a home run hitter every time.

On first blush, it might seem like a generic fruity floral scent, but the performance is truly amazing for a fresh fruity floral perfume and it does have a unique quality despite the popularity of the litchi-rose-peony combo. The most prominent notes I get from this fragrance are the litchi, the peony, and the watery notes. For me, it has a reasonably linear wear, but I honestly enjoy that because it means that the airy, juicy quality lasts for the whole day. I would say that this fragrance smells a little more youthful to me, like something a girl in her early 20s would wear, however, I can see women of all ages being able to pull it off. Likewise, while I don’t think this smells stereotypically “expensive” — I don’t get dark academia or country club wasp vibes from it — it is clearly a high quality perfume based on its superb performance and beautiful blending. I can’t wait to pick up a full bottle — especially because the bottle is so cute.

I initially purchased the discovery set so I could try all of the perfumes over time. Oriana was my favorite scent in this collection, so after almost finishing the sample I received, I splurged on a full size bottle. The first day I used it I noticed the scent was a bit off and didn’t last long at all. I would spray it on my wrist and after the initial sniff, the scent would fade away. I thought I wasn’t spraying on enough so I practically doused myself in it, but still could barely smell it. I chalked it up to it being a new bottle and figured the scent would get stronger as I continued to use it. Well after a week I was still having the same issue, so I compared it to the last bit of sample I had left and the difference was glaring.
