The stitching on these is done very poorly and comes undone very easily. The first one I bought had a hole in the armpit, lucky I caught it before leaving the store. The 2nd one started to come undone after wearing it to work from home for a few weeks. The stitches connecting the arms pulled from nothing more than typing on the computer. Its a good looking sweater but executed poorly. If you happen to get a decent one, try it on first, they fit big.

This is by far my favourite Patagonia product. It is a must for the cold and wet wintery days. When I lived in Ontario, it was a necessity for my daily commutes to campus and even in -20 weather, I was warm. I didn't have to layer up which was key for commuting on the bus!I moved to the West Coast last summer and had my first Raincouver winter and this sweater was the perfect piece to wear under my shell. It kept me warm and cozy on the dreary Vancouver days. I love it so much I bought 2 more!10/10 would recommend

As I write this, I am wearing a Lightweight Synchilla Snap T that is almost 15 years old and is still in perfect condition. My wife has one that is more than 20 years old and is still going strong. They are warm, never go out of style and last forever. Some people gripe about the lack of pockets = point taken. The fit is "relaxed", meaning if you want layers underneath, go with your regular size; but if not, you can easily size down. I wear an XL in everything else Patagonia but I have this one and one of the heavier model both in Size L. Lots of people complain about the lint they throw off; so the first thing you should do with a new one is toss it into the washing machine = problem solved. Never, never, NEVER put these in the dryer! Totally unnecessary = they dry ... MoreAs I write this, I am wearing a Lightweight Synchilla Snap T that is almost 15 years old and is still in perfect condition. There's really only one problem with this iconic garment: You'd better choose your color carefully, because like being married you're gonna be enjoying the view for a long, LONG time!

This is probably the nicest fleece I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning. It’s amazingly warm, super soft and just looks and fits great. Paired with some Patagonia corduroy jeans, and it’s the perfect fall outfit. The only downside is, it’s probably contributing to some pretty intense micro plastic pollution, it sheds a lot of fibres, which I’m not fond off. I’d feel more inclined to by several, in the various colours, if this wasn’t the case. A natural fibre fleece option, like wool, would be something I’d like to see.
Purchased the joy/pitch blue because the fit and print were exactly what I was looking for. As much as I wanted to keep this, I returned because it shed relentlessly. Took it off and the black undershirt I had had millions of micro plastic pieces all over it. Gets all over your car and anything you come into contact with. Not sure what’s going on with these, but they are clearly defective. Washed and lint rolled over and over and it never got any better. Just a heads up.
I’ve never written a review here before but I got two of these sweaters today and really love them. I’ve gotten Patagonia synchilla before and didn’t love them. The material on these are much more flexible and comfortable. I got the rust color and grey with navy in size medium. Rust goes perfect with my Uggs! I probably could’ve gone with small but I like my clothes a little more breathable. I am 5’6” 130lbs for reference. Really excited to wear these on my trip to Quebec.
I purchased the Oatmeal Heather style Synchilla Lightweight Snap-T Pullover and wore it for over a year. The product is soft, comfortable and keeps the body very warm over winter. However the fleece would not stop shedding all over my clothes, it was frustrating having the fleece fibers all over my pants and tops. Even after machine washing the jumper numerous times, the product would continue to shed. It became a very embarrassing product to wear having all the fibers come on to anything you touch.Thankfully Patagonia has refunded me a gift card in the amount of the purchase. But I am very disappointed for the expensive price you pay, that its not reflected in the quality of the product.
I was really excited for this product, as I loved Patagonia as a brand and thought they had high-quality products. However, I was sadly disappointed, as the fleece I received started shedding absolutely everywhere, even after washing a substantial amount. This was extremely disappointing for an $180 fleece, as I can't even wear it without it destroying everything. I'm not really sure if this is a quality control issue, but I would like to be reimbursed or sent a product that functions.
I've bought several Patagonia Synchillar jacket for my wife and kid so far, but this was my first purchase for myself. As expected, the right thickness and size (M size for 6'1) and the warmth, and the color(oatmeal) itself seems go well with jeans. After receiving the product, I wore it the next day and was very satisfied with it, I will definitely buy this fleece jacket again in a different color. It's the very best fleece jacket from Patagonia.
This thing sheds so much. I noticed on first wear that this fleece was shedding fibers like crazy. My seatbelt was absolutely covered in them. I read some other reviews that said to wash it several times and that would stop the shedding. I washed it three times and it’s still shedding. A lot. Disappointing that Patagonia would make something this bad, and that REI would choose to sell it.
