This is my favourite fleece i own, its very comfy and extremely warm...i literally cannot wear it indoors because it is that warm. I purchased my first piece 6 years ago and the quality is remarkable. I just purchased another in black. In canadian winters i can go outside with this and a down vest.I am 6'2 and my weight fluctuates from 180-210lbs depending on whether I am bulking or cutting. I have this in XL and L. The XL is very big...I can still wear it and its look okay...especially when Im nearing 200lbs, but now at 185lbs, the XL looks way too big. If you are around my height and current weight (6'2 185lbs) and want to be safe i would go with a size L. If you have an opportunity to try size M i would also try that because they run big and can look funky ... MoreThis is my favourite fleece i own, its very comfy and extremely warm...i literally cannot wear it indoors because it is that warm. An L goes halfway down my butt and an XL almost fully, i have a larger torso so this is a bit weird to me. I figured this is just the style of the piece (oversized). They are also very wide and theres lots of arm room, again this isnt supposed to be a fitted fleece...its supposed to be roomy...but consider that when youre puchasing.I am considering going into the store myself and trying on a size M just to see the fit.Overall 9/10 on this piece. Amazing quality but the fit can be weird. I wish i couldve exchanged the size XL when i had bought it initially.

I go to school in southern California and visit northern California where I'm from during the holidays. I was looking for something comfortable, versatile and high quality to wear on colder days. I'm 5'10" and 155 lbs and the medium fits me perfectly. The sleeves are intentionally a bit baggy to allow for greater freedom of motion which is nice, and the elastic on the waist and wrists has been nice as well. The fleece is soft and warm and seems to be of a good thickness. It doesn't pill either which I personally appreciate. The design is a nice throwback and the buttons are durable and provide a satisfying "snap." I bought it in oatmeal/tan or whatever and I love the color. It's very versatile and matches just about anything. Purchased online from Patagonia's website. I wear quarter-zips a lot for cooler and cold weather. I also have the Snap-T Light (#25580 previously reviewed) and this product fits more true to size. I'm 5'10', 160 lbs, slim build and routinely wear a medium. The Light version of the Snap-T is definitely a (very) "Relaxed Fit" Patagonia indicates; however, the fit for this version, while also a Relaxed Fit, is more toward a regular although still plenty of room for an under layer and still qualifies as a Relaxed Fit in my opinion. The arm length is also slightly shorter and more true to size for a medium compared to the Light version. Actually I prefer this fit. Obviously a heavier material than the Snap-T Light and for lower temps or less layers. Love the Oatmeal ... MorePurchased online from Patagonia's website. I also really like the elastic cuffs and waist trim; I personally don't like layers that extend too far below the waist. Great product and while you should always try on any product, I hope this helps if you can't.

This is the first fleece purchase from Patagonia. Initially, I was concerned about pilling that I had experienced from other brands. When I received it, it looked great and fit was larger, but stylish enough that anyone can pull it off.The chest pocket is generous enough to hold a cellphone l, but it won't close the button.I wear it to the office and I got a lot of compliments. The pullover is also easy to maintain.
I'll preface this by saying I own a few other sweaters from Patagonia (Better Sweater 1/4 zip and Cotton Quilt Snap-T) and they're a Large. The fit is great and I have zero complaints. When I bought this I bought a large as well - big mistake apparently. This definitely runs big. Arm length was good, but the body of it makes me feel like I'm wearing a garbage bag and I'm swimming in it. Not sure why such a large discrepancy between the different makes. Quality of the sweater is fantastic though. Very comfortable, super warm, and I couldn't be happier there. Fit is the only issue.I'm 6'0" and about 200lbs.
Ive had the northern green 2022 full weight XL synchilla for 2 months and I just wear it all the time/over a t shirt and its my primary jacket. The fit is so comfortable, its roomy but hugs your body over time. The sleeves and hem are stretchy perfects.Lately I havent taken it off in 3 days, sometimes I take off my t shirt and just wear a synchilla and sleep in my bed and it feels like heaven. I love my synchilla this is just a synchilla appreciation post.
Nothing to complaint about: typical Patagonia quality. Be aware that the sizing has changed throughout the years. It’s slimmer now. That’s my fourth synchillas and I had to size up to L with this one. Fit longer too. But still love it!
I have a synchilla pullover (black) that I bought over 20 years ago. Only noticeable difference is it has a zipper instead of the buttons, 2 side pockets instead of the 1 chest pocket, embroidered logo on the back and sleeves have no elastic. The fleece on the new synchilla (Oatmeal) feels different but just as thick. Maybe after wearing it for awhile and going thru a wash or 2, the fleece will feel/look like my old synchilla.Size wise, the medium is almost exactly the same as the old. The waist on the new synchilla is about 3" smaller in width when I lay it on top of the old one. This makes it harder to take off. Also, the sleeves on the old synchilla are angled downward while the new are just straight (see pic). Looks kind of funny to me.I'm 5'10", 34" arm length, chest about 40", weigh 175 lbs and I can't imagine going smaller than a size medium especially for a pullover. Sleeve length is just perfect, so if your arms are longer than 34", then the sleeves will be too short for you. It's really a perfect fit for anyone my size.So which one do I prefer? I like the fit on the old synchilla; however, I like the look on the current synchilla. But that's it, so I might return the new one.
I am 5'4 / 1m64 and I always buy in the Men’s section, I never have any problem and buys Men’s XS/S/M . And, I know Men’s clothing will always be made broader at the shoulder section and longer, as well as narrower at the hips. However, there’s this elastic at the waist that is made way too tight and it’s uncomfortable. I don’t have the biggest hips, but I wish I would have bought a size small or even medium for that oversized look. XS looks fitted and it fits fine, but it’s too tight at the waist/hips. Also, the fleece isn’t as thick as I was expecting. I would return it if I could.
I have a couple of the Lightweight Synchilla Snap Ts and procrastinated getting this heavier version. Now that I have one, I realy like the extra weight and warmth. I've even slept in it! If you don't plan on wearing much underneath, then you might want to consider going down one size; as they DO run on the large size. I wear XL and even XXL in other Patagonia products; but find Large in this model and the Lightweight version to fit me just fine with, say, a Capilene long sleeve underneath. A word of advice: Choose your color carefully in this iconic Top, because you're going to have it and wear it for years to come!
