Just what they say they are, a great swim short, look good, the fir guide has me buy a 36 when I ware a 34 in most pants and it fit perfect when I followed thru. Dry fast, comfy, no issues.

The Hydropeak Scallop surf trunks are my favorite Patagonia shorts to date. They are stretchy and dry quickly. The fit suits me since I have a thin athletic body type. My only issue is the gusset fly vs the previous button fly. The gusset design fly does not stay in place during heavier surf, it drops below the ties. Also, I do prefer the previous zipper pocket as opposed to the hook & loop.

I bought these for my husband for our vacation and he was so happy with them, says they're very comfortable and stretchy. He wants more pairs!

They fit good, that's what I need. I wear them under my wetsuit or drysuit while scuba diving. I also use them to keep in shape while lap swimming. I visited the flagship store in Ventura last week and wanted to purchase more size 35 but none were available. Hey Patagonia, if you can make a size 33 and keep them in stock, why not size 35?
I liked the look, the scalped legs, but way to tight. The 36 waist doesn't compare with other brands I use.
Love these shorts. They dry faster than any “quick dry” shorts I’ve owned. Love the lack of velcro fly, but the gusset limits the waistband girth so it can be a minor struggle to get it over my relatively small butt. I’d love to see a different rear pocket closure to eliminate Velcro altogether. Maybe an overlapping top..?
Perfect fit for me (not too long or short and just the right amount of roominess). Keep being a responsible company! That fact heavily influences my decision to buy your products.
Wore once and is permanently stained from sunblock (black suit). Maybe the other colors are okay but not black. I am slim and still needed to size up from my usual.
I am in the water almost everyday - wing foiling, prone surf foiling, longboarding, shortboarding - these trunks are the perfect length, have the right amount of stretch, and they do not chaff. I also wear these when shaping/repairing boards in the garage - nice and comfortable. These hold up for about three years (of constant use).
Worst boardies ever. Material transparent when wet. Not cheap either....
