The highly packable Micro Puff Jacket is Patagonia's go-to insulation piece for mixed cold conditions. It combines ultralight Pertex Quantum shell fabric with PlumaFill insulation to deliver the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any Patagonia jacket, as well as the highest compressibility of Patagonia's synthetic jackets. This means the Micro Puff is the perfect warm layer to pack when you're expecting temps to drop. A PFC-free durable water-repellent (DWR) finish sheds light precipitation while elasticized cuffs and an adjustable hem help seal in warmth. To sweeten the deal, the Micro Puff is a sustainable insulation option. Its Pertex Quantum shell fabric is made of NetPlus 100% recycled fishing nets, which helps reduce ocean plastic pollution, and the PlumaFill is made from recycled polyester. Be ready for any conditions with the Patagonia Micro Puff Jacket on hand.

I've had the Nano Puff for over a year now. It's a useful part of a clothing layering system, and personally, I haven't experienced the complaints about the fragility of the Nano Puff - though I don't baby it by any means, I do try to keep the washing of it less frequent than other technical clothing, washing and then hang drying. A friend of mine has had the same Nano Puff for about 5 years, and has repaired the odd hole with tenacious tape with great success.I've worn it everywhere from casually about town to cold nights on backcountry trips. I sized M (6'2, 185) - though I could have worn a large, I prefer the slimmer fit for layering under a shell (which it fits under great). The collapsing into its own pocket is a nice touch as well!Compared to something ... MoreI've had the Nano Puff for over a year now. Big fan of what they've hit on here, and I hope that I have it for many seasons on.

I simply love the look and year-round versatility of this jacket! The thin profile and slim fit functions well as an insulated mid layer for winter conditions under a ski parka or as a shoulder season jacket by itself. Also a great weight for taking the edge off crisp summer alpine mornings. Wind-proof and repels light rain. Primaloft insulation handles getting wet better than down without losing thermal properties. Athletic cut looks good on the trail or back in town at the end of the day. Even looks good for the office commute. Ultra light weight and built-in stuff pocket make it a no-brainer to bring along for changing conditions on every outing. It's not the only jacket to own, but it's the most-used piece in my layering system all year. An essential outdoor ... MoreI simply love the look and year-round versatility of this jacket! Patagonia's Nano Puff Jacket is truly a "best in class item." It may seem expensive, but Patagonia backs up their ironclad warranty - and it has earned its name. They've repaired my Nano Puff hoody (a first gen unit!) multiple times after being subjected to ultra hard use here in Alaska. The jackets feel great over a teeshirt, and are exceptional for layering. With one of these, a raincoat, and an R1 layer, you are basically ready for just about anything North America can throw at you. I've seen these jackets in corporate board rooms, as well as in BC XC ski applications. A hardcore piece of gear that looks beautiful, and will never let you down!

Best in versatility. Love this jacket.Easily my most-worn sweater jacket. I usually wear it over a cotton t-shirt day-to-day and am comfortable outside down to 5oC/40oF. Light and breathable enough that I don't have to take it off when travelling at all. It breathes well and sits well enough with sleeves up. Dries very quickly owing to polyester and well-resistant to wind. Perfect for every day wear and cold weather travelling/commuting and works well as insulation under a shell for heavier rain or snow.Fits perfect true to size. I'm a MEDIUM, 178cm and 75kg.
I purchased this as part of a layering system to take on some 14ers. Since I’m still months away, I use for casual wear. It’s comfortable, fits great, and packs down into a smaller backpack easy and is super light weight. One of the selling points was that it’s windproof which worked well. It was warm while outside all day in 40 degree weather with a light hoodie underneath and I was quite warm in single digit temps with an REI fleece underneath. I may exchange this for the hooded version, however. Last, the reason I gave it 4 stars is because the stitching started coming out after only about a week of very light, casual use. If I can’t catch the hooded version on sale (because it’s disproportionately more expensive…like crazy higher in price for just a hood) I’ll ... MoreI purchased this as part of a layering system to take on some 14ers. If they do, I’ll look another brand. This is my first experience with Patagonia and I did expect better quality.
Just got the item today. First impressions:1. I've had a Nano-puff Jacket for several years, size medium, regular fit. This Micro-puff jacket is also a medium, regular fit. The Micro-puff is noticeably bigger -- the body is much roomier and the sleeves are a bit longer. If Patagonia still had "relaxed" sizing, this would be a 'medium, relaxed fit' item. For me, it's fine; others expecting the old 'nano-puff' fit might be disappointed.2. Note that, unlike the nano, the micro doesn't have a zippered inner pocket :-( Not sure why but Patagonia doesn't think we need zippered inside pockets in pretty much anything.3. Jacket works for my intended use. 4 Stars because no secure inside pocket.
Bought this because I love how Patagonia is helping to conserve the environment, it’s quality, the versatility, and color. My arms are a bit short and I love how the green inside color pops when I do my favorite wrist roll. Since I do have hips, it’s a little straight cut but I sinch the bottom anyways so it’s perfect. Usually a Wimen’s medium size (sometimes large sometimes small, you know) and a men’s small is what I got. Perfect to layer thin things below and minimal enough to pop my favorite beat over it. Came two days earlier than expected! Can’t wait to test it out in desert. Thanks REI!
I'm not one to leave reviews, but I feel the need to with this one. I'm bummed. I purchased this jacket in August 2022, and it's already falling apart at the stitching (December 2023), just over a year later. I wash as intended and really only wore this jacket a handful of times. It's noticeably falling apart, and for $200+, I was hoping it would hold up for a lifetime - rather than just over 1 year.I was a big fan of both Patagonia and REI, even investing in the REI membership. Unfortunately, the REI warranty period for members being just 1 year (1 winter season) is disappointing, considering the cost of this item.I expected better - so just a heads up!
This is my second Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket. They are exceptionally warm, really lite, and here's the thing: I can through this thing in the washer and hang it up to dry and it is ready to go again in about 2 hours. I'm in my 60's and I wear one of these jackets in the winter when I go out to do my daily walks/hikes for exercise. I get a little sweaty under the arms and my jacket can get pretty ripe in just a few days. I can't count how many times I've washed these jackets and they come out looking like new. They dry really fast, and the insulation doesn't bunch up like a down jacket. I'll probably buy more Nano Puff jackets and vest just becuase I love them so much.
let me tell ya about this little gem I stumbled upon – the Patagonia Men's Nano Puff Jacket. Man, this thing is like having a warm hug from your grandma on a chilly day!First off, let's talk about versatility. I've taken this bad boy everywhere, from hiking trails to city streets, and it's always got my back. It's light as a feather, so you can stuff it in your backpack without even noticing it's there until you need it. Perfect for spontaneous adventures or those days when the weather can't make up its mind. Now, let's get down to business – warmth. This Nano Puff Jacket is like wearing a cozy cloud. I've been out in some gnarly weather, and this jacket kept me snug as a bug in a rug. Sleek, stylish, and not too flashy – just the way I like it. Plus, it's got pockets galore! I'm talking about enough pockets to stash your snacks, phone, keys, and maybe even a squirrel or two if you're feeling adventurous. But what really sets this jacket apart is Patagonia's commitment to the environment. They're all about sustainability and doing right by Mama Earth. So you can feel good knowing that you're rocking a jacket that's eco-friendly and built to last.In conclusion, if you're in the market for a jacket that's as tough as nails but soft as a teddy bear, look no further than the Patagonia Men's Nano Puff Jacket.
