Not much room for anything besides a tank top. This jacket is made for running and that is about it. I’ll be returning for another jacket in a different brand. Hoping to do other sports that I could move my arms in it. High quality but wish it had a little stretch and a little more length for 200$+. I am a 34 b cup with a standard length torso and 5’9”.

Like a lot of Patagonia jackets, this one is too long for a normal size torso. I am 5 foot five and tried the XS and it Reached my thighs. I know long jackets became a thing because everyone was wearing low rise pants but that’s not the case anymore.

This is a lightweight and very packable jacket,which makes it great for stuffing in a pack on the 'just in case it rains' days. However,I recently used it for a four hour hike in continual rain,and it eventually couldn't hold out against the constant wetness. Thus,I now use this jacket for running and the 'probably won't need it' hiking days,but for true waterproof performance,I much prefer my Patagonia Leashless jacket which keeps going and going no matter how hard (or long) it pours.

I was gifted this coat 2yrs ago, it has been in my pack as a in case it rains jacket, and has not been tested until now. I had to wear it this weekend backpacking and it did not hold up, first day the rain was light and it was ok for the less then hr hike into camp i had. on our hike out it rained buckets on us for 3.5hrs and by the time i got to my car i was soaked down to my Bra and freezing. It did NOT keep me dry, i am super unhappy about its performance and will be keeping my Columbia heaver rain jacket in my bag if i think there is more then a 50% chance of rain.
Just came back from an overnight backpacking trip with unrelenting rain and hail, this shell kept me dry from the rain! I thought the warp around hood a bit overkill at the store, but when the rain and hail came at me from all angles, the hood protected my face! Got a little damp underneath from sweat, but I was wearing a very thick fleece under. Size up if you want enough space for layering and placing a daypack inside the jacket.

I did use it a couple times and did like it, but it went back because it was NOT what I was looking for.Pros:- Excellent athletic fit like all Patagonia items- Very high quality fabric. Light weight and thin, but insulated very well. Did not feel clammy or sticky when sweating.- Loved the storable hood. It folds away and becomes invisible.- The reflective logo and markings light up bright at nightCons:- Only one interior pocket no external pockets- The arm venting zips did not seem to really release any of the body heat, I think pit zips would have been much better.- Its advertised for running, biking, and climbing. I wouldn't consider this as a camping or backpacking jacket either because of the lack of pockets and zero lining. This jacket is paper thin.Overall it was a hard decision to return the jacket because I did really like the overall fit and function, but I could not justify hanging on to an item with this hefty price tag when this was not what I was really looking for. If you live in a very rainy place and want a serious running/biking rain jacket this would be a very good deal for you.
I bought 2 Stormracer jackets for travel for my husband and myself. So far I've worn mine twice in a mild downpour on walks and it seemed to work great. Not overly hot on a warm day which was my concern since I've been spoiled for years by Goretex and having pitzips. It will be a good combination of super light and packable, and protection from rain on a warm day. It's a compromise for travel as we don't want to haul our heavier Goretex full -on rain gear on this trip to Europe.
