Patagonia describes these as -cool weather- gloves. I had no expectation that these were hard core technical gloves. Wear them in cold but not ultra cold, windy weather. In the Patagonia world, my hands measure at the upper part of the Mens Small range. Also ordered Mens Medium just in case. Small fit so well I didnt even try the Mediums & returned them. Very comfortable. Fit great. Able to use my cell phone. Very satisfied. Just love the basic feel of these gloves on my hands.

I have to use a mobility scooter (I no longer hike), and my hands get really cold outdoors. I wanted some no-nonsense, warm gloves, and these really are just that. I have smallish hands, but from the reviews I read, sizing was an issue. So I ordered both a small and a medium; I kept the small (which are still a tiny bit long in the fingers) and returned the medium. Im really happy with these gloves and the service I received from Patagonia.

Bought a pair of Synchilla gloves for our household as we all LOVE all things Synchilla. the gloves do not disappoint. Soft and warm. They are good for a bit of snow and will keep your hands dry, although they are not waterproof. We use these for everything from chilly morning walks in the city, to alpine hikes and snowboarding days.

Excellent quality. I now have 3 pairs of these gloves. Two pair in Medium and Large. Although you certainly don’t need a liner in them, I did a Large. Finger length are perfect, even on my Small size, however I do prefer gloves to be slightly bigger for me. Of course the quality is excellent - they are Patagonia!. Perfect for warmth. Not waterproof, but I didn’t buy them for water proofness. Really highly recommend the Synchilla gloves.
I bought my first pair of Patagonia synchilla gloves (2 pair in fact) while doing lakes and rivers research on the N slope of Alaska. That was 35 years ago, and to this day i still use one of the original pair through every VT fall/winter/spring (sadly, i lost the other pair). The gloves have lost most of their fuzz, but still keep on ticking and keeping my hands warm in damp, cool, working conditions. That, to me, is quality and durability. I've been keeping my eye out for a new pair; found these on sale at the outlet in Freeport. I've only had them a few weeks, but I bought them with the full expectation that Patagonia is continuing to honor their code of quality-make/quality materials in the same way they did with my original purchase 3 decades ago.
These are the perfect gloves for a Minnesota winter. I say that for everyday use to keep your hands warm and as well as having good flexibility for many tasks. Keep in mind I would not suggest these for extended times outdoors in a MN winter for activities like skiing, ice fishing, etc. Mitts are best for those activities. All in all, these are great daily gloves use for cold weather.
Needed to reload on fleece gloves for work commute, walking dogs, general non️️-fancy wear. I was not replacing a Patagonia pair but was luck my to find these via online search. Sizing guide was very helpful. The added loop to pull the gloves on is a great feature. The high quality is what I would expect from Patagonia products. And the gloves are really warm. Two thumbs up.
I had purchased, about 10 or more years ago, what I believe to be the previous version of this glove. I wore the previous version A-LOT until holes formed just below the finger tips. The current version is extremely similar and that is why I purchased them. The glove material is lighter ( thinner) and you get sufficient warmth for outdoor use as wee as when to use when driving a car, but a better wear feel than gloves made of thicker, bulkier material. Patagonia replaced the leather palm and finger tips with a cloth material. I am a little concerned that the new cloth areas will wear faster than the leather areas that have shown no wear on my very old version of these gloves. I mainly purchased the current product because of the lighter weight compared to other products I looked at. I did not like the the $49 price. I also bought a very similar glove from llBean at almost half the price. The llBean glove material is a heavier, but it has a leather palm. Time will tell how these two gloves will wear and which one feels the best.
I bought a medium pair because I always order mediums in just about everything. These are super large. I ordered the light color and the finger tabs are black, so they look like they are polar bear claws. Patagonia, I would change those electronic-friendly and grabbing enhancing tips to match the color of the glove to avoid how they steal the show and detract from a pleasant style it was meant to have.
These are my favorite gloves for chilly walks. I find the medium size necessary to accommodate my hand length- however the gloves are wide and very roomy. I tried a small too but they were short and still wide. Leaves plenty of room for a liner though! I haven’t tried these in damp snow yet but I’m guessing they’d do best with a mitten shell.I wish there were a way to make the inner seams less prominent or to include a soft/thin fleece liner in this glove- I guess those can be bought separately.
