It is a very good vindaloo sauce. I tried this sauce with 500g chicken and 250g potato cubes. It is spicy but not over powering. It has plenty of flavour.

First time trying a vindaloo sauce and was impressed with the taste! A little too spicy for me but mixed with some mango chutney and it helped cool things down. Recommend giving it a try if you like a bit of heat

I have no idea why its impossible to get a good vindaloo sauce but this is the best I have had to date. I added some tamarind and chillies fried in butter with four sweetners and a tube of tomato puree drizzled with fresh cream. Tasted very good.

Pataks sauces are very consistent. I always like buying Pataks because you get exactly what the sauce is supposed to be. If it's a Madras or Vindaloo then the sauce is always to that heat, but still with plenty of flavour. Never disappointing. It's a shame they no longer do the Phal which I always used to buy. I like a lot of heat and spice. But the Vindaloo is a good 2nd.
Awesome sauce - really! It's no longer sold locally, and I can't get to Silicon Valley often enough to replenish. It's much cheaper there, but this is reasonably good value for 6 bottles including shipping. We love the sluff, but a warning: it's VERY hot, picante hot, which is exactly the way we like it. Delicious too.
I was always scared to try Vindaloo at a restaurant as Iβve heard how spicy it can be. Patakβs Vindaloo is definitely spicy but it is easier to manage spice levels when cooking at home.
Nice flavour, not as hot as some vindaloos. But then I come from Bradford and our curries are hotter than anywhere in the UK with the possible exception of Birmingham.
I am a big fan of Vindaloo, but if you are buying this expecting it to taste like a take-away one you will be very dissapointed. It tastes like any other Pataks sauce only a bit spicier (but still relatively tame). It tastes too sweet and too rich and I won't be buying it again. The Asda vindaloo in metal cans is much better,
I have no idea who would eat this and like it, certainly not a curry lover. Sweet and sickly, weak on flavour and spice. Patak's used to make outstanding curries which were in small cans - they were between a sauce and a paste - they really were great, and they stopped making them only to offer us this offensive muck. No thanks.
a very nice sauce but be warned it does not come up to the strength of the ones from the curry house. It is a powerful taste and not for the curry novice, but the spices are delicious and it makes a wonderful curry. I use 500g Asda Lamb mince, fry the mince, add a lamb stock cube (yes, really) to the mince, then some fried onions and dump this sauce over the top. Stir and simmer and serve with basmati rice, or naan, or if you are in the mood, those sharwoods mini popadums if you are after a more dipping experience as opposed to a sensible meal
