I feel like I may be a little biased in my review as Patron was the first premium tequila I ever tried. However, I genuinely really enjoy this tequila and am always satisfied every time I drink it. I don’t think there’s anything about it that makes it particularly unique, but I think it’s a fantastic entryway for a tequila beginner or those who are trying to experiment with different and new spirits. In terms of presentation, I really like how the bottle looks, particularly the rounded design of the cork and the shape of the bottle. I really do think it gives off a premium edge and makes me excited to drink it. I also really like the colour of the drink as it means I’m able to mix it with whichever mixers I want without it altering the colour too much and looks ... MoreI feel like I may be a little biased in my review as Patron was the first premium tequila I ever tried. When opened, these seems to be vanilla and woody-like notes to the spirit, which is also blended with citrus scents and smells super inviting and refreshing. It doesn’t smell super sharp and bitter like other cheap tequilas do and isn’t off-putting at all.

I love Patron Silver. It’s been my go- to tequila since I was old enough to drink (and a little before then). I only drink silver tequila because it’s the purest form of tequila made with 100% blue Weber agave and no additives. This also drastically reduces your chances at a hangover. While Patron Añejo is considered the best, I still prefer the silver and used to keep a bottle in my freezer for shots or to make my special silver dollar margaritas (I was a high end bartender throughout college). It is pretty smooth with a slight citrus aroma and you can taste the agave with a hint of pepper and a bite at the end. It’s good for sipping, shots or cocktails. You’re basically paying for the name and I don’t know how much longer Patron is going to be able to get away with that because there are so many great competitors out there. They’ve had an amazing run since 1989, but sometimes change is inevitable. I do recommend Patron Silver if it’s very chilled for shots or if you’re making authentic margaritas. It doesn’t taste that great warm! The price is the only reason I say that if you’re planning on making a lot of batches of drinks, or are not prioritizing “smoothness” (you’re having a party instead of a few friends) then I would still recommend a silver , but something cheaper.

The resulting tequila is crystal clear, with a crisp, clean taste and a subtle sweetness that is balanced out by a hint of pepper and spice. Patron Silver Tequila is my favorite tequila hands down! I don’t drink dark liquor, so I don’t like the dark tequila. It’s tequila so it has a bite. But in my opinion Patron Silver is easy to swallow and stomach. I feel like it’s so much smoother going down than other tequila. It’s clear, comes in a beautiful bottle and is great as margaritas, shots or specialty drinks. This is definitely my go to if I am to have an adult beverage. Of course if you are to drink, please drink responsibly.

I feel like sometimes tequila can smell like literal hand sanitiser but with Patron, this isn’t the case at all and makes it super pleasant to drink. In regards to taste, I find it to be incredibly smooth and easy to drink which is why, again, I feel like this is a perfect tequila for beginners to get their hands on. It almost have honey-like notes and tastes sweet, yet slightly sharp and citrusy at the time and I feel like this blend of flavours compliment each other really well. I tend to mix mine with lemonade as this is just what I’ve always preferred but I feel like with how smooth and neutral the taste is it’s easy to mix it with pretty much everything and it would still taste good.Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is trying to explore their spirit horizons and is just getting started out with tequila, and particularly people who prefer a more neutral-tasting tequila as opposed to a distinct, strong flavour. I think in this regard it’s perfect for making your staple cocktails like a margarita. I would say the price point is slightly expensive for what the product is, and for this reason I don’t regularly buy this for myself unless for a special occasion, but it is still a great tasting tequila and I have no complaints.

For Producing Top-Notch Margaritas

I don't drink tequila frequently enough to conduct a taste test, so this might not be the "best" tequila. I do recall tasting some "oily" food when I was younger, but never again. When I had an out-of-town visitor, we went to a well-known Mexican restaurant nearby and had its happy hour 'Ritas. The ones I produced at home using this brand and Cointreau were far more popular with my friend. No big deal. I'm content with it as is. The bottle is also really lovely!

Neckpour had a slight poolwater taste that went away after a week of being open. Could be from the water used to proof down the tequila at bottlin. Agave, vegetation, minerals, some citrus. Could cost a little less but its fairly priced compared to the market. Its available almot everywhere. Very consistent product. This is the least expensive additive free reposado that i would recommend. Total wine alwayd has the best price on this one

The top tequila available today

Victor M's stupidity is astounding. Yes, Patron was initially produced at the Siete Leguas distillery, but due to its popularity, Patron decided to construct its own distillery. Francisco Alcaraz, the master distiller who founded both brands, had such faith in what Patron was achieving that he left and joined them. The Tequila in the bottle is among the best because Patron is the only Tequila with the ISO 14001 certification, all of the bottles are made of recycled glass, and the Tequila is made using the traditional tahona rock method.

When making margaritas, we use Patron tequila.
