Paula's Choice C5 Super Boost Moisturizer

An innovative moisturiser featuring vitamin C, a research-supported antioxidant that does so much more than brighten tone. On its own, it can visibly firm, counteract free-radical damage and support some of skin’s most essential functions. When joined with barrier-repairing ingredients like peptides and lipids, it can also help bind in moisture for a supple, youthful complexion. This lightweight moisturiser super-boosts hydration, evenness and radiance with a blend of powerful ingredients. First, 5% stabilised vitamin C visibly lifts dullness and promotes firmness by fighting free-radical damage. Then, hexapeptide-5, lipids and polyglutamic acid strengthen the moisture barrier for lasting hydration over time. * Once or twice daily, apply a small amount to face and neck. * For daytime use, always finish with SPF 30+.

I am very dissatisfied with this product. I was very excited to purchase when its just came out on market. But it made no different after 2,5 months of using it. No change to my drown spot and fine lines around eye area. I am 32.

I ordered this product and a few others after being recommended the brand by a friend. It was my first time using products with active ingredients, so at first my skin didn't react too well to this cream, but after a couple of weeks it settled down.My skin is combination/oily and I found that this cream didn't increase the oiliness but also didn't make it better. The used products did improve my milia, but I'm not sure if it was the C5 cream, the BHA Exfoliant or the Retinol Treatment. A combination of them all, perhaps?Overall it seems to be an ok cream, but I was not overblown by it, so I might try a different one in the future. It lasted 2 months, with twice a day application. I really like vitamin C skincare products, so was very excited about this line. Unfortunately the cream disappointed me a bit. At first I really liked the effect it had on my skin when applying this as night creme (although scent is a bit specific and unfresh), but after a few days I noticed that during the day my skin was very dry. I stopped using the Vit C cream for a couple of days and the dryness disappeared. Now I am using the product at most once or twice a week, as night cream, in combination with an oily serum.

Great gentle Vitamin C!
3 January 2023

I have dry and sensitive skin and have often struggled with finding a good Vitamin C product that doesn't a) contain tons of fragrance and b) cause a reaction due to high strength. This product has allowed me to introduce Vitamin C in a low strength and within a cream that's also really moisturising which my skin needs soo much of!! Love it

I am pleased with the product
11 November 2022

Hi, I was a bit conscious ordering the full size as I wasn't sure how my skin would react (I am a fan of exfoliators) but the 20% off was tempting and I was looking for the ways of incorporating more vitamin C into my skincare regime. (I love PC's Vitamin C 15 booster!!) I must add that I am 49 years old and a long time fan of PC and quite happy with the way my skin looks and feels. Now on to the cream. It is more liquid than my favourite (Resist Intensive Repair) moisturiser for very dry skin, but it glides on beautifully leaving the skin glowing and moisturised instantly, with plump and less tired skin the next morning. It came with the eye cream which I am delighted with too. I hope to see a long term results in weeks and months to come. Everybody's skin is different and I hope it will work for you too. Thank you Paula!

I would not recommend this product.
21 February 2023

I purchased this product in November, so far I see no result. I am 32 and I had tiny pigmentation on my face. I used this cream plus eye cream from the same bundle (Vitamin C). It says it will help me with the fine lines and pigmentation, but I see zero results! Its just a moisturiser, nothing else. Very disappointed .

Nice light moisturizer
21 April 2023

It is a nice light moisturizer to use in the evening. But it did not help me to reduce dark spots or improve the overall appearance of the skin. One possibility is that it is not made for skin of color. I have indian tan skin. I completed the whole bottle and will not recommend it.

Not for oily skin
16 January 2023

Nice liquid texture, I used it as night cream. But it is very hydrating so the next day I had shiny skin (I have oily one, but with mattifying products I keep it under contol. After this creme it was too oily and shiny). I think it is better for dry skin.

Works beautifully

I'm fair-skinned and in my mid-fifties. I walk where I need to go and I've got to protect my skin in all weathers. It's a cold, difficult time of year for me; sometimes I can't prevent heading into a cold wind during my trekking. C5 has produced immediate, excellent results for my skin. It's truly moisturizing but not too emollient. Vitamin C gives me a younger, healthy appearance. All the ingredients help protect my face and I've experienced no irritation. I look good on arrival at work or home which surprised me a bit because it's been tough lately. I most often use it at night. Sometimes I mix just a little with a booster or serum during the day under my sunscreen because I can get to it faster than the dropper bottle of my favourite C booster. I think all skin types will find this a good texture. I use all Paula's Choice products, cleaners, toners, BHA exfoliants, boosters and sunscreens. I go through a lot of the Defense Essential Glow mineral sunscreen throughout the year.
