I’ve never had a great experience with vitamin c moisturizers, for some reason they just clog up my pores. I’ve never tried this one, this was my first time purchasing this and I initially wanted to use it morning and night but didn’t realize til after that it’s a night time moisturizer only (the PM sign on the box). This gel cream is light to moderately hydrating, surprisingly soothing for a vitamin c cream, and VERY brightening. Within a few days, you can really see a difference, and it duplicates results I've gotten with products containing l-ascorbic acid, which is usually what people look for as the vitamin c form, but it's often times irritating or hard to acclimate to for sensitive skin. I’ve been loving the liquid exfoliant from Paula’s Choice. When I saw that they were coming out with a vitamin C moisturizer, I knew I had to test it out! I apply this product in the AM onto cleansed skin. I use 1-1.5 pumps of the product and apply a thin layer onto my face and neck. It absorbs so easily into my skin. I’m impressed with how good this makes my skin look while I’m wearing makeup. I can definitely tell a difference in the moisture of my skin. Makeup tends to accentuate dryness and fine lines, but when I apply this moisturizer underneath makeup, my skin’s dryness is greatly reduced. So I couldn't figure out why this was pilling sooo badly on me. I tried everything. Then I thought ohh perhaps some of the oils have moved away from the formula and that's why it isn't performing correctly so I shook the bottle for a good minute to mix it all around then pumped one pump into the trash and the next one onto my face-again, trying to get this stuff to work because I love the idea of this. Well lo and behold it doesn't pill as long as you shake it a bunch. Then don't touch your face for at least 5 min. I touched my neck and it just barely crumbled off but the rest of the area I applied after about 5 min it felt like nothing was on my skin-in a good way. Hi, I was a bit conscious ordering the full size as I wasn't sure how my skin would react (I am a fan of exfoliators) but the 20% off was tempting and I was looking for the ways of incorporating more vitamin C into my skincare regime. (I love PC's Vitamin C 15 booster!!) I must add that I am 49 years old and a long time fan of PC and quite happy with the way my skin looks and feels. Now on to the cream. It is more liquid than my favourite (Resist Intensive Repair) moisturiser for very dry skin, but it glides on beautifully leaving the skin glowing and moisturised instantly, with plump and less tired skin the next morning. It came with the eye cream which I am delighted with too. It's not "silky" in my opinion, it feels more soft and light, almost like velvet on my skin. It absorbs quickly and leaves my face looking clean and almost matte, like nothing is on it-- just healthy.I have combo/oily skin and it seems to reduce and prevent shine. Also, I am acne prone and have seen no breakouts. It just leaves my skin looking and feeling fresh and baby-butt soft. It's more weightless than the whipped electrolyte moisturizer and less oily than the oil-free moisturizer. I can't see any visible benefits at this point but the feeling alone makes it a winner.
