I don’t use the bracelet feature very much because I wear a watch on the same hand I hold my camera with. But hey if you have a naked right wrist then you’ll be fine if you want that functionality. For its intended use, the thing is awesome. I also bought a PD Leash for the best of both worlds and to fully take advantage of those little anchors. Not too expensive, and PD is known for their intelligent design and high quality. Would recommend, but you’re not exactly “missing out” by going with another option. It comes down to the anchors, really. If you want to be able to swap to a neck/shoulder strap or take off the wrist strap super quickly, then yeah I’d say go for it. If you want one wrist strap that will never be detached from your camera, you’d be just as ... MoreI don’t use the bracelet feature very much because I wear a watch on the same hand I hold my camera with. Those are my two cents!I can absolutely say, however, that I’ve used my Cuff just as much as (if not a little more than) my Leash, so the combo really will cover all your bases and you’ll never have to think about it again.

I bought this strap specifically to use with my GoPro and 3-Way Mount. Ever since I got the 3-Way Mount, I wanted a good, heavy duty wrist strap to attach to it, so I didn't have to worry about dropping or losing it. Sadly, I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for and ended up taking a wrist strap off of a Nintendo Wii controller to use for the time being. When I first laid eyes on the Peak Design Cuff Strap, I knew I had finally found the holy grail that I was looking for and I had to buy one.All of Peak Design's straps have a unique Anchor Link system. Once the anchor link was looped on, I just slid the circular anchor into the link on the strap and it locked into place with a click. It's a breeze to put the strap on and take it off when not in use. My only criticism is that the anchor cord was a little short once I put it through the hole and the wide area it had to loop around on my mount, but it still functions just fine. The strap itself is made out of super sturdy webbing and I love the look and feel of the strap. It even comes with a nifty little drawstring bag to store the strap and extra anchors in.I recently used this strap with my GoPro on a trip to San Francisco and it worked out perfectly!!! It was everything I wanted and more. I could let go of the handle and not worry because the strap automatically cinched around my wrist to prevent my GoPro from hitting the ground. If you want a high quality strap that's going to keep your camera safe and sound, then look no further. Peak Design definitely knows their stuff when it comes to camera straps and now I'm a fan for life!!

This strap is strong and the attachment mechanism good/durable, but I don't think I'd have purchased if I'd realized how narrow the opening is. No big deal (and I have large hands so this won't apply to all) but I definitely need both hands and several seconds to extract my hand from the strap. Had I tested it before purchase, I'd have gone with something easier to slip on and off, but I realize this is only relevant to larger than average people (I'm 6'4, 240), because otherwise I'm happy with the product. I should've read the specs more carefully.

I bought this for my Fuji XT-5, and have used it for about a solid week of shooting so far. It's just what I needed. I like that I can easily tighten and loosing the strap as needed. I'm coming from a Canon 5D iii, which I used a hand strap. Given the XT-5 is smaller, this wrist strap puts me in the same secure but loose enough feel that I previously had. It's also not as long as some straps that I compared on Etsy that, in the end, got in the way of my camera settings or couldn't be securely locked to my wrist. This Peak Design Cuff strap is great as it doesn't get in the way. Seemed like leather would wear better long term.
I have the older version of this strap, and I really like it, especially for my smaller cameras. My only complaint about the old one was it was very difficult to get on and off because I have very large hands, but I made it work and I use it regularly. When this strap became available I saw the video from PD, and figured it might be a little bigger, and it was. It is really well built and now comes with a magnet inside the strap that lets you leave the strap on your wrist and it is snugged out of the way as the magnet holds it in place on your wrist. I use it all the time and find it especially helpful with my GFX 100s, which is a big camera. Here is the caveat - the strap is very comfortable, but when you are changing lenses or doing anything that requires you to ... MoreI have the older version of this strap, and I really like it, especially for my smaller cameras. I caught myself a couple of times leaning out in a precarious position thinking the camera was tethered to the strap when in fact it was curled up on my wrist. I am now especially careful to be certain the strap is connected anytime I am holding the camera.Overall I think it is a fine product, it is very well made, and gives peace of mind when using your camera in precarious situations.
I'll start off by saying this is a nice camera strap. However, like most Peak Design products, it looks cool, but falls short on promise in terms of useful features. One of the reasons I purchased this was the ability to wear it as a wrist band when I'm not shooting. I thought that was an innovative feature that differentiated this strap from others I was looking at. It also helped justify the higher cost for a nylon strap.Well, sadly, it doesn't work. The strap tends to loosen while on the wrist and unfortunately Peak Design used a magnet that isn't strong enough to hold the band in place when that happens (even though I positioned it per the instructions). Even wearing it while walking around the house resulted in it coming loose, which is really annoying since ... MoreI'll start off by saying this is a nice camera strap. Even wearing it while walking around the house resulted in it coming loose, which is really annoying since now you have this dangly thing on your wrist.Granted, the strap folds up small and can be tucked in a pants pocket. But, so can a lot of other straps. If you're just looking for an attractive camera strap, you're not planning on using the wrist band feature, and willing to pay the premium that Peak Design demands for their products then I recommend this strap. Otherwise, I'd say some money and look elsewhere.
I have two Peak Design Camera straps & they are superb. I decided that I needed a short wrist strap, to protect against dropping camera or having it snatched from my hand, when I don't want to use a full camera strap. This cuff wrist strap is ideal. It really is a simple but clever little strap - watch the Peak Design video showing the couple of nice extra features it has. Going to use this strap a lot. Only downside - it's a bit short. In my opinion I would have liked it slightly longer. But I won't lose any sleep over it as it is a really good strap & does exactly what I wanted it to do.
First of all, this IS a very well made strap and system. The construction and materials all seem of high quality. I love the quick-connect system. My only problem has to do with the way the strap automatically tightens on my wrist when any tension is applied between the camera and my wrist. For example, if I want to dangle the camera for a moment because I need to use that hand for something. Or even if it just snugs up as I'm moving my hands and the camera around during shooting. Sure, the camera is very safely attached to my wrist and there's no way I'll drop it, but it's inconvenient to get the strap off my wrist! I can't seem to loosen it to get it off while holding the camera if I want to quickly free both hands for something. I fumble awkwardly or have to find a place to set the camera down so I can use one hand to free the other. My quick solution is to undo the quick-connect, which works, but now I have an empty strap dangling from my wrist.Yes, there's a magnet built into the strap to help keep it from dangling, but I find the whole system to be a bit awkward and clumsy to use.If anyone who uses this wrist strap has figured out a smooth way to use it please let me know. In the meantime I'll keep working with it to develop a smooth technique for removing it without fumbling.
I love to walk around cities with my camera in hand rather than on a neck strap - which brings two risks. One that you might drop the camera and second that it might be snatched. This wrist strap solves both as it automatically tightens on your wrist when the camera pulls away. The Peak Design tags on your camera are unobtrusive and easily unclipped if you want to remove the wrist strap and transfer to a neck, shoulder strap or tripod. One thing - the strap is basically nylon and the leather bit is sewn onto the outside nylon purely as a design accent and to conceal is a small magnet which you can push to the correct position so that it "holds" the clip if you wrap it around your wrist when not attached to the camera, but actually it's not very strong.
I bought this to secure my phone (really for its camera) to my wrist on backcountry trail runs, which I've done for well, a long time ; ) After many hundreds of miles of use, this wrist strap remains like new despite all the sweat and grime it receives. I soap it up every so often. The strap is a tough and durable weave and the mating part that loops around the phone case is seems indestructible and attaches in place very securely. The design overall is flawless. That is a magnet embedded into the strap that helps secure it around your wrist when not in use. My only suggestion: while my strap is black, I prefer a contrasting color to readily locate it on the go.While this may sound like hype, when I come across a product that really meets my needs, I like to ... MoreI bought this to secure my phone (really for its camera) to my wrist on backcountry trail runs, which I've done for well, a long time ; ) After many hundreds of miles of use, this wrist strap remains like new despite all the sweat and grime it receives.
