Peak Design Sling 3L The 3L, Everyday Sling v2 from Peak Design is a compact, versatile carrying option that can worn around the waist or as a sling bag. When used as a sling, the padded non-slip strap can be configured for wear over the right or left shoulder. Designed to fit snugly against the body, the 3L Everyday Sling v2's zippered clamshell opening allows the main compartment to be easily reached, which includes a divider that can be configured according to the specific equipment being carried. The divider is foldable, and can cradle curved surfaces such as the grip of a camera with an attached lens. During use, the foldable divider enhances protection between those curved surfaces and adjacent items while minimizing the area between them for more efficient use of the main compartment's space. Six pockets within the main compartment can serve to store and organize camera batteries, memory cards, or small electronics. Along the exterior of this bag, a pocket with a zippered opening is built into the front panel which faces away from the wearer, and is a convenient space for books, notepads, documents, or snacks. For larger items such as a tripod, monopod, or packable clothing, external carry straps are included to secure such items along the bottom of the 3L Everyday Sling v2. Featuring a durable nylon construction, the 3L Everyday Sling v2 is built to be weather resistant. To further protect its contents should the bag be placed on a wet surface, the bottom panel is waterproof.

This is a good bag, not big, with quality parts. But it's too tight for Canon R5 and L zooms.I put in it R5 + RF 70-200/2.8 (or 15-35), but not comfortable, it's not so easy.In additional pockets I also add 2 batteries and set of magnetic filters (85mm).Someone can say - it's a lot! Maybe, but process of folding together it's kind of pain. :)Hope too see bags on 4 litters from PD soon !

In using this as a waist or hip pack the shortest allowable belt setting the pack would not stay up, gravity would lead to the pack down, past my hips and then down my legs (intervention required).I effectively shortened the strap by tying the loose ends of thesecondary adjustment provided together. Later I worked on this a bit to eliminate loose hanging straps, see attached photo. This worked really well, the bag riding a bit lower on the hip and the bag moving a bit freely in a way most hip packs don't (similar to what is described in the B&H listing of the Cosyspeed Camslinger). It is very easy to move the bag from the front to my backside, or either side of my body which is great for me as I ride a bicycle or go hiking. So for me this is a waist pack only but I use it every time I go out, usually with the Fuji x100v.--------------------------------In earlier attempts to use this as a sling bag I noted that the strap needed to be extended not just with the slider provided for quick adjustment but by using the additional adjustment allowed for the portion of the strap that tucks into the back of the pack.I had hoped to be able to easily switch back and forth between waist pack and sling pack though and for tall thin folks this is not practical. It is because the padded portion of the strap restricts the amount of adjustment that can be made. Thus my choice to give up on using this as a sling bag.

I bought this sling bag for my trip to New York. The days I would be spending there involved a lot of street photography and moving through the city. I didn't want to just have my camera hanging from a strap but I didn't want to carry a cumbersome backpack on the subway. This sling was a fair compromise if a bit small. I use a Fuji XT-4 combined with a 16-55mm lens for travel. This combination tends to work in most situations but is fairly large. I wasn't able to fit another smaller lens so I spent most of the time with the one setup. I was also able to carry a charging cable, an extra battery, extra memory cards, and a battery in case my phone needed a charge. I also added on the peak design clip on the side of the bag, in case I needed to put the camera down for a ... MoreI bought this sling bag for my trip to New York. As with all peak design products this is well built and has (in my opinion) medium to chick padding. Easily fits my A7iii and Tamron 28-75 lens with a bit of room to spare.-Zippers are nicely built and won't snag-Two storage pouches on the side in the main pouch.-One storage pouch in the middle with sections for batteries, SD cards. etc.-One storage pouch in the front for easy access.-Bottom straps for mounting items such as a tripod or water bottle.-Compatible with peak design capture clip (camera is mounted outside, on the side of the bag. This allows two medium sized lenses to fit inside the main pouch.-Theft deterrent zipper straps to make it harder for someone to unzip your bag.Overall great build quality and usable space. Well worth the price
The perfect size for me to handle all of my run n gun jobs. Space for 2 lenses plus my AirPods, keys, batts, other support items. Sturdy build with options to add stuff outside like a small tripod or monopod. Waterproof? Feels like it. Above all, it’s comfortable and easily adjustable.
I was recently in Tokyo with my Peak Design Every Day 30L bag - and the weather was incredibly hot so that I wanted to have something lighter to only carry one camera. So, I bought this bag as I have only good experiences with Peak Design so far.Unfortunately I was not as happy with this bag as I thought. The Pros- It can be converted between a belt and a sling bag - AWESOME!- It has more space than it looks like and was fitting my a7RV with the 24-105MM lense with ease - even keeping some space for other things.- It has some pockets for batteries, papers and other things which is really handy when being around.- It has all the straps and attachment handles which you come to expect from Peak Design. The con:- The locking mechanism for the strap is .. ... It is seriously complicated to get the big barb hook with security lever through the tiny loop. It is not only really finnicky, it also requires some force. If you use then the bag around your waist, and your waist size is between the two sizes (the entire strap or only half), then you have to use this mechanism every time when you put it on or off. That is ... really a hassle.I really like the bag - it is handy, small, but yet big enough for a serious camera, flexible to be used as sling or waist bag. However - the closing mechanism needs a serious improvement for daily use IF you plan to use the bag around the waist and you cannot use the strap tension mechanism.
This bag is the perfect size. I took a chance on it without seeing any videos demonstrating how much it could carry. Specifically the Sony A7iii and lenses.I have the A7iii, Tamron 28-75, Sony 35 1.8, 55 1.8, 85 1.8 and the 24 GM. I plan to use it for general carry and street photography. Which in both instances I only need to carry the camera with one lens attached and possibly one extra. With the Tamron 28-75 attached I cannot carry another lens. Which is fine because when I choose to use my zoom lens I don’t desire to use my primes. With anyone of my primes attached I can also fit the Tamron or my two remaining primes for a total of 3 lenses. I also purchased the capture clip. I hope this review was helpful to someone who is not sure about this bag.
I needed a small sling for my M6, a second lens and several rolls of film. This works perfect. It's light-weight and very convenient to carry. The sling design works on either side without changing the strap and I've got easy access to everything without taking it off. Can't wait for my next street shoot in NYC.
I had to change my camera sling due to replacing lenses of my camera to bigger one. I wanted something for everyday /everywhere caring. I'm not a professional photographer (it is not my work) but I almost always taking camera with me in order to not miss a change to take an interesting photo. I was doubt which one to choose 3L or 6L bag,3L looked like small , while 6 is too big, and since I'm often taking a backpack with me, i stand on 3L. It is very tricky to put a phone there (as advertised on some videos). Definitely this pocket is not for phone, I can miss call until I take the it out (3l bag).- Zippers, I did not find it smooth though, I always need to use second hand to keep the bag in order to open it.- Straps, for tall person the buckle and quick-adjuster are aligned on the top of shoulder, that says advantages of soft strap are not used , it shifted to back. You need to decide once, on which side you should wear bag left or right, unless you are not ready to disassemble and setup straps again ( of course you can change side anytime, but in this case the quick adjuster and buckle will be situated on back).- Inner pockets are shapeless, seems they are designed to store formless wires , a.k.a chargers, headphones and something like that. Memory cards should be packed to hard case first to avoid damagingP.S: My previous caselogic bag, was very cheep (about 10% of this price) but in same time it was very handy, I could put into side pockets some cash, museum or cinema tickets which are quickly accessible and always under hand. I did not find this bag as handy as previous one yet...
Used this on my recent 10 day trip, a6600 + sony 18-135 (mounted) + sony 10-18, with small room left over for flash or other small carry item. Outside pocket does fit my note 8 + slim TPU case although is snug to get it in (hint - fully open the bag to release the tension when putting large item in the outside pocket). Got hit with strong rain on a few days and this bag kept everything bone dry (hint - close the double sipper on the side when out in the rain). I didn't have the V1 but this bag is awesome and feels a little larger than 3L. Inside pockets are excellent by the way, the zippered compartment is great as are the 2 inside side pockets.I found the best fit for the a6600 + 18-135 was face down (lens to the ground, holster style) which let me take it out ... PD internal divider is top notch.Great bag, as expected from PD! Materials, fit & finish all awesome.
