A VERY Well-made Bag...

Peak Design makes great products, and this bag is no exception. I am a convert to their tripod after it proved it could be more stable in a smaller size than my larger and heavier carbon fiber 'pod. Really love their attachment system for straps. I was all set to love this bag, it just wasn't a good fit for me. It is very comfortable to wear, pockets are good, well-built. But for me, it was too structured -- it is very stiff and does not lose its shape regardless of whether it is empty or not. I tend to prefer less-padded, less-structured bags that compact with smaller loads. It is also lacking a bottle holder -- I know, this might ruin the aesthetic, but a bottle holder is a necessity for longer hikes or walks around town. Also doubles as an extra lens holder. I ended up going with the Mountainsmith small Adventure Office. Not as "clean" a design, but did everything I wanted it to. Still, you can't go wrong with the PD sling if that's what fits your needs.

Sometimes the hype is real, and often when it comes to Peak Design gear that's how it goes. I bought this sling because I needed a compact carrying solution for daily use or a minimal gear set up. Bigger than a fanny pack, but not overly burdensome like I'm packing for a trip. This easily holds my Fuji XE-4 (with grip), 33mm 1.4, and 16-80mm zoom. If I wanted to go one lens only it'd even have space for like a small notebook or something on the other side of the divider.Everything else is as you'd expect, great quality and build. Solid comfort too. I love how easy it is to adjust the strap length. While I'd love it if PD gear was cheaper, you honestly get what you pay for. I'd buy it again.

I love this bag, its perfect. I usually carry a sony camera with a 35 mm prime and a 24-105 mm zoom lens and they fit just fine as well with my keys, phone, wallet and a small notebook. It zips on the side and is mostly safe and convenient for quickly changing lenses. But i really had to write this review bc this material is very resilient. I had to film in a beach at night and it suddenly called for wading in knee deep water. My notebook was completely dry despite the water and the waves hitting the bag. It wasnt submerged, mind you, but against some water it held up fantastically. Highly recc.

Excellent compact and discreet protection for mirrorless SLR
17 May 2022

I got this for a trip to Europe so I could safely carry my mirrorless camera and two lenses with me. The case is pretty stiff and well padded. I wish the opening was larger - its a little tight - due to the rather rigid shape of the sling. But Im confident that the opening wont let something slip out of the bag when unzipped. The front pocket is a little small but enough for lens tissue, cleaner, phone and passport. I really wish there was a water bottle holder.

Excellent little camera bag
21 July 2022

I bought this bag for my Canon RP. I can fit the camera with a short lens, the Peak Design slide strap, camera charger, any small adapters, lens wipes, and a microfiber cloth. I can also fit a medium-sized lens. The strap is extremely comfortable and all of the features are extremely functional. I had some reservations before I purchased this bag, mostly based on the price, but gosh I have no regrets buying this bag. It is sleek and stylish enough and doesn't resemble a big bulky camera bag, it looks like a small messenger bag or something. I cannot recommend this bag enough!!! Works perfectly when you don't need to be dressed out with your full camera kit and are just going out for the day to snap some pics.

Excellent minimalist day bag
6 September 2022

I use this for travel when I want only the essentials for full day outings. I carry a Fujifilm X100v, a Fujilfilm X-E4 with either a 14mm f2.8 or 35mm f2.0 mounted, with the other lens packed inside as well. I could also take a Fujifilm 55-200mm with one of the aforementioned lenses, but then the kit becomes a little heavy and tight for an all day carry. I also carry 3 extra batteries, airpods and assorted cables. The bags quality and materials are excellent. All told, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Order it now. Do it!
26 July 2022

I ordered a few other camera bags that were less expensive on other sites. None of them were up to my standards. This bag by Peak Design was an immediate yes! No hesitation I would buy this again. The functionality is amazing. The design is beautiful. The craftsmanship is stellar. Since this purchase I have already ordered other Peak Design products. I am in love. With the cash back/points at Moosejaw it was a win win for me.I hate writing reviews but this bag is swoon worthy

Perfect small camera bag
12 July 2022

This was the bag I was looking for to take on hikes. I like to hike out west where you need to bring a lot of water with you and I had to chose between my camera backpack or my camel back before I got this sack. Now I can bring my camelback and my camera with two lenses and other small accessories, Filters, SD cards, etc. It holds a lot for a little bag, the fanny pack option is a little cumbersome to get engaged, but once you get it around your waist works well and feels comfortable. My only gripe is that the latch for the quick release is plastic not metal like PD's strap which I love. Other than that this is a sweet little bag.

Stylish but trades functionality for form

Bought this based on the reputation of the brand and generally glowing reviews. Unfortunately, I was left a bit wanting, perhaps in part due to high expectations. The materials and build quality seem solid. I would expect this bag will probably last many years. What I don’t love is the interior design and strap. There are two small elastic pockets on each end of the bag but the elastic loop is stiff and doesn’t stretch much. The stiffness means it’s always stuck open so small items will fall out, defeating the purpose of making it elastic. They also don’t stretch much, so it is difficult to fit anything wide like a small can of juice or soda. However, since it’s so taught, once you do get a can in there, it certainly won’t fall out on its own.The other issue is ... MoreBought this based on the reputation of the brand and generally glowing reviews. It’s comfortable enough, but going from shoulder carry to waist pack is not as simple as videos suggest. Unless you prefer very short should straps or you have a large waist, and there isn’t much difference in strap length between the two styles. All in all, it’s a good looking bag with great build quality and some thoughtful design in other areas. The hype and price unfortunately set the expectations to a much higher level than some competition which is what leads to a bit of disappointment in the end. Try before you buy.

Well made bag that was not functional for me
19 February 2023

This bag is beautifully constructed out of quality materials and the hard case does a good job of protecting all of the contents inside. I used the bag for the first time during a two hour photo trip to a museum to hold my Nikon mirror-less camera/mounted lens plus two small lenses, a thin fabric wallet in the tablet pocket and an IPhone in the front pocket. I found that it was difficult to get the wallet out of the tablet pocket because there were contents in the bag and it was difficult to get the phone out of the front pocket due to its tight construction. Also, the bag was very uncomfortable to wear as a sling or cross-body against my body because of the hard outer shell. I kept taking the bag off to find a more comfortable position, but the design of the strap ... MoreThis bag is beautifully constructed out of quality materials and the hard case does a good job of protecting all of the contents inside.
