A versatile piece of kit for travel and EDC!

The blue colour option for the Field Pouch is very attractive, the pouch works well as a sling bag, the size is just right to fit into my PD Travel Backpack to store my action camera and accessories. The Velcro attachment isn’t too bad, though I can see where using magnets instead like other PD products for attachment might be preferable. Overall, recommended!

I've been using this pouch every day to carry my EDC tech. Sometimes I also attach a capture clip to the pouch and carry my camera on it too. It works really well for that. My only gripe is that there are these internal slots or pockets and they are way too small for a lot of things. For example if I put a wireless earbuds case into the slots, they're too shallow so the case ends up falling out. I understand that these were likely meant for camera batteries and memory cards, but if Peak Design would just make the slots a little bit deeper, it could be so much more versatile. The velcro closure is also very nice but not incredibly confidence inspiring. Horrible top closure - never holds

I love peak design products and was hoping this field pouch would live up to the expectations. One of the things I wanted was a pouch with to capture clip attachment points that will serve as oversized pocket on my belt (since it's hard to get into your pockets if you have capture clip on your belt). This works OK if you barely put anything in it. As soon as it's even half full, the shape of the pouch and very weak velcro prevent it from closing. I'm debating if I want to try to buy some sort of snap buttons and install them myself in addition to the velcro (understanding it invalidates the warranty). Or if I just want to sell it used (losing most of the value). Really disappointing product.

My New EDC (when I carry less)
17 January 2024

Not to big and not to small. As with every Peak Design product, this pouch has great material and workmanship. I use it when I do not have much to carry. To my surprise it comes with a strap to carry as a sling (the older version did not). If you need to carry a little more the pouch actually expands by repositioning the lid on the velcro. I highly recommend this pouch and any other peak design product.

Peak Design Field Pouch
12 March 2022

Overall a very good pouch. The materials used and build quality of the pouch are excellent. I particularly liked the durable and water resistant material used for the outer shell, it feels nice in hand. It also comes with a strap so that it can be worn as a sling which is also nice.A minor complaint I have about the pouch is how the fabric folds over the opening. It makes it a little bit difficult getting things in and out of the pouch quickly. Also, while I do like the ease of use of the velcro opening, it is a little too loud.Otherwise this is a really good pouch for every day carry items.

Quality build and spacious..mild discomfort
4 July 2022

It has enough room for personal things, keys, wallets, medication and a zipper pocket for cash and important documents. It does get bulky as you fit more thing inside of it. Most pockets are used for photography purposes but little things can fit in them. The build is quality and feels comfortable on body except the straps don’t feel comfortable on the shoulder. As you wear and move the straps will move closer towards your neck so you’re stuck adjusting it back onto your shoulder every now and then.

Really nice materials and build quality, disappointed by how the internal pockets are organized.
8 March 2022

Pros:- The build quality is great and materials feel very durable, particularly the outer shell which also has a water resistant coating on it- It comes with a removable strap so it can be worn like a sling. It's a very thin strap but suitable for a pouch of this sizeCons:- The opening feels a little cramped due to how the fabric folds over it. Getting things in and out of the pouch sometimes feels cumbersome- The velcro is loud (though it is easy to use)- I prefer the organization of the v1 version which has two larger internal pockets instead of three smaller ones like in the v2. I couldn't fit some my usual EDC items into the smaller pockets (e.g., my slim wallet)

[Rewarded Review] Great for compact cameras
22 February 2022

I purchased this for my Fujifilm X100V. It's a great size for a compact camera since I don't need to store lens or other accessories. I stash a few cables, neck strap, and lens filters in it along with the camera and have no issues. It does come with a strap, but I primary purchased this as a "bag-in-a-bag" for luggage or backpacks. I'm sure it would work well as stand alone too. The color and and aesthetics are very nice and the build quality seems great as you'd expect with Peak Design. Overall a great bag at a decent price.

[Rewarded Review] Great for small camera
23 May 2024

I took this pouch on a 10 day trip to Europe recently. It easily held my Sony RX100 camera with extra batteries and SD cards. It also had room for keeping some ready cash, phone, ID, and other essentials. It is reasonably well padded, and the thin internal zip pocket is great for keeping items separated. It seems to be fairly water resistant. I didn't go out in any heavy downpours, but it worked well in the rainy conditions I encountered. The fold-over top works well for keeping water out, and allows the pouch to expand for larger items. The neck strap was comfortable. I found I needed to make sure the strap was securely snapped over the loops on the back of the pouch, otherwise the clips could come off. Once they were snapped on, they were quite secure.

[Rewarded Review] Kind of expensive for what it is
3 July 2023

As much as I try to lighten my load, this is just a tad too small. I also feel like it's a bit too expensive for what it is. The ribbon-like straps just have a plastic hook to attach to the bag. I'm using it but still searching for the perfect bag - which I think doesn't exist at this point - you should see my closet!
