Installed this unit on my '22 Tacoma SR5 V6 DCLB. My father in law owns a '21 SR5 ACLB with the 4cyl. We knew we wanted the bigger motor but didn't know how much this little box would add to the experience! It's like a new (different) gas pedal. The only thing I can compare it to is like... back in the day when we would put a lighter set of carb return springs on your hotrod. The pedal feels lighter now and the motor is a lot more responsive to your input. I was told going to a 265/75R16 A/T tire over stick 245s I was gonna need a computer reflash and high tech tune. Not so. This box has handled all my needs. You'll see a lot of people mount these on the dash presumably to be able to adjust them on the fly. This thing is amazing. It is so fun. It’s like driving a new car. Sport+ mode is crazy fast. One advisory though. I did not fully clip the red clip on one of the wires and after a day of driving my check engine and throttle issue light came on. However, if you unplug the pedal commander, plug the stock throttle back in, and then re-install the pedal commander fully securing the red clip it will fix the issue. It’s not the pedal commanders fault for the issue. I also recommend getting some Velcro from Walmart as the Velcro provided is not very strong. Great product overall.

I mounted the unit just under the emergency brake handle where it angles up - it just fits without hitting. Bluetooth app is unnecessary. Kind of nice but speed doesn't work and I don't really change much. Made a very noticeable difference just on the city mode - and if you want to do burnouts the sport and sport plus are crazy! Highly recommended.

Pedal Commander is by far one if the BEST Products to purchase for any Tacoma owner.. Some do not even notice the lag(delay) issue when pressing on accelerate, but for the technicians and real drivers it's obvious. This product is not just a want to be modification, but rather a must have!! In ego mode and low city mode 14-19% gas savings. In sport mode it has that normal mid range torque at the hit of the throttle. In Sport+ 3-5 it lights the tires! I am a retired master technician working on Lexus and other high end vehicles,and can say this is the SHIT you're looking for to accelerate,maintain pace or conserve for towing,city highway. I give this product a 6 out of 5!!!
This product does what it says. I have a Jeep Wrangler 2.0 and it absolutely smooths out the turbo lag making the vehicle truly a pleasure to drive. It installs in about 15 minutes and has Bluetooth so you don’t have the device and wires hanging all over the place. They can be neatly tucked away. It can be easily adjusted and even turned off from your phone. The different settings are also great in that you can adjust to different driving situations. It it only interacts with the pedal so it doesn’t leave red flags for the dealer. Highly recommend!
OK!!! I finally got it and it works. If you are looking for more hp, this is not the mod for that. This mod literally does what it's intended to do...remove the throttle lag. I will say that there is a little lag when pressing the gas from a complete stop at a red light or stop sign. HOWEVER!!!!!!! Once you are up and moving 3k rpm + and you press the gas, shit gets real! I have a SR Performance Cold Air Intake and a Billet Tech Oil Catch Can, she sounds and drives nice for not having an exhaust (not yet anyways). For daily drivers, this is recommended. I keep it in Sport + 4 at all times. I feel no need to change it.
I bought this for my 2023 Jeep Gladiator Mojave to go with the following other previously installed performance upgrades: AFE Magnum force st2 CAI, AFE silver bullet throttle body spacer, AFE Scorcher GT power module, and the Mopar cat back dual exhaust. This throttle controller was kinda like the icing on the cake, unleashing all that power. Night and day compared with stock. Easy install and nice app to work with.
The Pedal Commander does work. Put it in my 23 Tacoma. I’ve tried all the settings and the one that works for me is sport 1-3. Easy to install. Took less than Ten minutes. I put the app on my phone to adjust the modes. Using the unit to adjust is easy also. It honestly gets rid of the throttle lag. I highly recommend Pedal Commander.
After reading all of the other comments, i knew that the car and performance would be different. But, WOW!! The difference in performance was amazing! The throttle response was insane! I know that you dont actually get an increase in horsepower, but you could have fooled me. It feels like a totally different vehicle. Well worth the money!! You gotta get you one!!!!
After installing the Pedal Commander in my 21 Camaro LT1, wow what a difference! It is a completely different car. I just have it on Sport 1 mode and I am spinning wheels when I tap the gas. My car feels much much better when accelerating! No more throttle lag. Curious to see if Eco Mode will save in fuel. Easy to install, took maybe 15 minutes. Highly recommended.. This does NOT increase horsepower folks just makes the throttle extremely responsive!
