Great, but small images

Love the concept, but the images on the map are very small. We've played this twice and stopped due to neck pain! There is a small magnifying glass provided, but its not practical when you're more than 1 person playing.

Just as good as the first!

I love this game. The crimes are not tremendously difficult to solve, and it's true that sometimes it's hard to tell if you've gathered all the information the game wants you to have. But it's just so satisfying to hunt through this massive map and find strange little things happening everywhere. Just as good as the first one!

Lots of fun in a small package

Picked this up for my kids (8/11) after seeing it at PAX21. Brought it with us on our flight and it was perfect. Takes up almost no space. Our flight was delayed and then cancelled, but we brought the game out and unfolded it on the floor in the airport and it kept the kids entertained for hours tracking down clues and following events in the city. Plus they were working together, and keep asking if they can play again.- If your kids squabble, might recommend to either remove the magnifier or make sure you have one for each of them.- Would be even better if it came with a few more scenarios. But for the price, I feel we got our money’s worth.

I am always on the lookout for a game to play with my wife. Over the years I have dabbled in many different genres and weights and we have found some real gems and experiences that we both enjoy.I grabbed MicroMacro on a whim more than anything. It has decent reviews and who doesnt like finding the murderous Waldos out there? The map is huge and very well detailed without being overwhelming. The concept of seeing past and future on the map regarding the activities of its residents is genius. We were deducing what had happened and how it was done. The cases started simply and progressively got more complex and involved. We enjoyed every moment we played this game. The reason it is 4 stars instead of 5 is the cases were not child friendly - this is both a pro and ... MoreI am always on the lookout for a game to play with my wife. Ultimately, our biggest gripe is that we wished for more challenge. This is not the game's fault, it just wasn't a perfect experience for us. For what it's worth we are fans of this game's concept and what it offers and will be buying all their future products. The game is a lot of fun and I would highly recommend it.

It’s more of the same, the map is different but doesn’t look it due to the style of the art so aesthetically it often feels like you are playing the same game. I feel like they could have just released more crime packs for the original map. Solving the crimes is just as fun as always but I guess I wanted more from an expansion.

A very unique game with a fun, interesting way of playing! You are essentially looking for characters and places described to you on cards and trying to follow the story as it unfolds on the map before you. At first it may be hard to get your eyes used to it, but after a while you start to spot one thing, then another, and another! Then you've solved the case and can't wait to go onto the next investigation. I like that there's a variety of investigations too and of varying challenge levels. After a while, you forget what happens and can play again or with a new set of people and you can read out the cards - it's as much fun to watch people play this game as it is playing it yourself! The only downside for me was that it says 1-4 people but getting 4 people to look ... MoreA very unique game with a fun, interesting way of playing! Probably best played with 2-3 players or take it in turns to sit out and watch!

This game is basically "Where's Waldo?", but with murders and theft instead of a goofy guy in a hat. (Spoiler: There are also goofy guys in hats.) The first few "cases" are incredibly easy, but don't be turned off! Once you get to the 4- and 5-star cases, the game gets really fun. My girlfriend loves this game, as she loves figuring things out, and that alone was worth the purchase to me.

More mysteries on Crime City!
23 February 2022

This is mechanically exactly the same as the first Crime City. The map is new, the mysteries are new, the only difference is a cute little indicator if certain cases may be too explicit for younger members of a family game night. The components are essentially identical, and I was able to fit both into one box by taking out the insert. So if you want more, here it is. The game itself is a Where's Waldo like search through a huge, intricate b&w cartoon map. You are given 16 cases with progressively difficult crimes which guides you through a story all present in various points on that map. Lots of fun, very unique, though it requires good eyes (even with the magnifier) and good lighting and a little patience at times.

Solid, Quick and Fun Sleuthing Snippets

MicroMacro: Crime City may look deceiving at first. The black and white cartoony map, thin box and simple design, all of these may have curious onlookers think we're dealing with a Where's Wally/Waldo kind of activity. Well, feed that curiosity a little more and you will discover a wondrous set of mini-games, all short and sweet investigations, that teach you from the get go how to solve the various, nefarious crimes being committed in this busy little city. A small set of double-sided 'question-answer' cards will guide your investigation as you scan the oversized map for culprits, victims, clues and solutions. Fun with the family or alone, Micro Macro: Crime City delivers, complete with 'Aha!' moments and 'Oh!' surprises. Simply delightful...as crimes go.

Wheres Waldo v2.0
1 March 2023

I grew up on the Where's Waldo books and I can remember spending way too much time trying to find him. This takes it to another level as you seek to find the victim and trace their steps to unpack the story of what happened to them. The large map offers plenty of small easter eggs and highlights as you search frantically trying to find out what happened to Waldo.
