Absolutely brilliant carryon but also handles being checked very well. I traveled by train across the country, then flew up and down the west coast. Everything inside was beautifully intact. The plastic was abraded and scuffed but very little other damage to the case.

Great, sturdy, handsome case. Bought this for my boyfriend who travels for work in the construction field, so rugged was a number one priority. He loves it, it works great. Would definitely recommend both this case and this website. Both the product and the customer service were fantastic.

What can be said about Pelican cases that a hundred thousand folks haven’t already? The purchase went smoothly, the site was easy to navigatw and the price was just right. I travel weekly for work and this case is perfect for my tools as checked luggage and a tool case
After years of being an NYC audio tech with a backpack, I'm happy to have this case. However, I can only justify using it while traveling or on massive jobs. Regardless, the air is really light and sleek. The lid organizer and 2 pouches managed to keep my loose backpack bits way more organized than I expected and have room for way more.
This product was just as expected from Pelican, the highest of quality. It was exactly what I ordered and I am extremely happy with it. There was great communication from the merchant from the moment the case was ordered. I will definitely be doing business again!

Fire, flood, earthquake, or other disaster--keep this Pelican go bag ready to roll when emergency responders arrive to save your life.
Pelican is a good brand but I think they could have put some more thought into this one. Only having two wheels (yes I should have looked before I bought) does not allow the case to spin very well and becomes a little difficult to maneuver. The handle feels a little weak. I will use this for a weekender trip, but probable not for every trip. Nice to have, but still looking for that perfect carry-on case.

First, one of the wheels which came on my case has a gouge in it and it appears to be a manufacturing defect. I don't think it will affect the overall durability of the case, or its ability to roll, but it is a cosmetic issue which stood out to me rather clearly during my initial inspection. Second, and the lesser of the two really, is that the liner/insert with the pockets (in the lid) is not made to be removed, though could easily be modified to be removable with little issue. I removed mine, which was attached with 4 screws (solid idea here) and some adhesive which has a clear intent of making the insert permanently attached. Pelican can do better in my mind. If this is meant to be permanent, why the screws? If it is meant to be removable, why the glue? Both are really not necessary as the insert is molded, with a hard plastic base to form fit with the lid, and has a steel ring to hold the shape of the insert in the lid. All that said, I went through the strain (its not a simple or easy process) of removing my insert which resulted in some of the backer fabric (not needed) ripping and copious amounts of adhesive being dealt with. If anyone ever tells you the glue Pelican uses is easy to remove from anything, they are trying to tempt you into a nightmare they are hoping to be able to witness.Overall the case seems solid, but there were some decisions made by the manufacturer that just don't make sense to me.
I highly recommend this carry-on luggage. It's quite durable and has built in TSA approved locks with tabs for your own more secure locks after you clear TSA. It comes with Organizer Pods to separate shirts, pants, + underwear. You can get a weeks worth of clothes in it if you pack it tight and don't waste any space. The only downside is the price.
