Purchased this case to store my firearm optics. This case easily holds Leupold Mark 4, Trijicon ACOG and MRO, and there is still more space available. Case is deep enough to hold Mark 4 with American Defense mount attached without any problems. For MRO, you don't have to cut the foam all the way through, may be just 1//2 or 2/3. Overall, it is a great case to protect some expensive optics for my range trips.

This thing, upon opening the box, was first rate solid, padded like crazy, nice and light. I haven't done anything with it as far as designing a layout yet, I just don't want to ruin it, it looks so nice, lol.

I ended up returning this to get the non-air version. It would work but the lightness it provides isnt worth how less sturdy it seems. The handles for instance do not seem as strong.

I bought this case to store my curved soprano saxophone. The case is lighter than the protector series, yet retains all the strength. The latches are more like the ones on a storm case with the button to push to open them. Very happy with this case, and am sure it will last a lifetime.
Needed a new case to hold all my styling supplies. This works wonderfully and I love that it's on wheels and sturdy enough for location shoots.
This is my first Pelican case, I needed something strong and light but also not too big in order to store and transport my camera, two lenses, and small accessories. This case was the perfect size and weight, and feels extremely tough and durable while also retaining a smooth and professional finish. I've heard people complain about the pick and pluck foam, but I like the customizable aspect of it as well as the added security that a traditional divider system doesn't provide. I'll probably end up ordering another one of these later on for my sound equipment. Very satisfied.
I ordered this case with the pluck foam for my telescope eyepieces for transport. I am very impress with this case, seems to be very tuff and working with the pluck foam was a snap. I know of others who have Pelican cases however they are much heavier than this one which makes it idea for my use. I would recommend it highly for anyone looking for a light weight but strong water tight case.
I originally ordered the Pelican 1510 (rolling case with handle) but ended up returning it. The 1510 didn't have much usable space after I put in my Sony A9 with 200-600mm lens, and I really didn't like the velcro padding system that came with it. I couldn't find a lot of info comparing the two so hopefully this is useful. What's better about this one is it's a lot lighter, and because it doesn't have wheels and handle the bottom is a lot flatter inside without the big bumps for the wheel wells. The downside is it doesn't feel as sturdy, and the one I got the top side isn't flat, it's buckling upwards. Normally I would have returned it and gotten another but I already returned the 1510 once so I didn't want to deal with it. Also I wish the 1555 came in the nice ... If you're planning on travelling you might want one with wheels and handle, but I'm only needing something to carry from my house to my car, so this size and weight should be just right. I also purchased the Trekpak system separately (wasn't able to purchase combined with the grey color). I reviewed that separately, there's a very important note - make sure when installing the outside pieces that the cut side on the corners is facing the inside when you bend it, otherwise they won't fit.
