These are good boxes. Mine was a tad rough on the manufacture side of things. Ok for off road use as it’s not a beauty contest.The rubber seal is not a continuous thing, but a strip of rubber tucked in a groove. This will leave one small gap where it joins and water leaks from there with rain coming from the right angle.

Great compartment for my off grid electrical system.
Lid has buckled - the corners of the box have lifted up and you can visually see inside the box. This is definitely not water-proof nor even dust-proof. Don't buy one if that's what you need. Note: I have two of these boxes purchased at different times and both have done the exact same thing!
Did not age well, the lid loses it’s shape quite dramatically, dipping up to 2.5cm in the centre and twisting. NOT the same as other Pelican cases you might be familiar with. This is the budget version which does not maintain it’s shape.
Not waterproof or water resistant. Bought it just under a year ago, still in brand new condition as it only sits under canopy on ute or under awning in back yard.Rained heavy one day when it was under awning and gutter rain over followed on top of it with sideways rain hitting. Opened up next day, had water in it and all recover gear and tools and air compressor wet with moisture and now having to dry it all in sun. I'll be pretty angry if mold starts forming on my gear and if air compressor doesn't work.
