I have owned these Pelican cases for years. Last Fall while shooting in Moab, Utah, I fell into a stream. Went under completely, but was pulled out by others close by. My Sony camera was toast, but all my cards inside the Pelican case were bone dry. Not saying it is a fool-proof answer, but it did work in my case....no pun intended.

I'm really disappointed by the quality of the inner foam that is supposed to hold the cards in place inside the case. Like other reviews have stated, the foam cutouts don't quite fit the SD card size properly, the slots are very shallow, and even the slightest movement or bumping the case causes the cards to dislodge from the foam, so they're just floating around inside the case and often fall out entirely when I open the case to get a new card. SUPER frustrating and really bummed this case won't work for me. I wish I'd read the negative reviews more closely before I purchased because I'm experiencing the same issue.

Different materials have different properties when it comes to holding the cards in place. The inside of this one is made of foam with cutouts that are a little smaller than the cards. Putting the cards in the first time I needed to make sure that the foam surrounded all sides of the card. Once done the cards stayed in place. It's easy to get the cards out because there is a little notch where I can insert my fingertip. My only concern is whether the foam will hold up well over time. This case is extremely safe ! Really it is water proof ! You can put your cards within it & close it then put case inside a water container without any risk to see even single water drop entering inside this case. However, 4 stars only because spaces for SD are not uniform, being some of them differ by about 0.5 mm or so wider or narrower from other SD spaces. As a result, certain of my SD not fit within certain spaces from 1st insertion - I needed to insert them 2 or 3 times to take their fitness in these spaces. But when I tried same of those SD in other SD spaces, they take their place okay from 1st trail - something should not be with such high quality water resistance case !
Just one click of the latch locks in your memory cards and protects them from being tossed around in the bottom of your bag.I found the Pelican case to be substantial in construction and roomy enough to hold more than the number of SD cards that I currently own. I did not, however, toss it in the bathtub to check out any claims of being waterproof. Seems like a sensible piece of equipment to have along on a trip.Paul

I have tried many brands and some are very good, however, for both quality especially over time and price... I keep going back to Pelican cases. I have tried many of the memory card cases out there and must admit, I use them for other purposes as well and again the 915 Pelican case is rough, tough, compact enough to put in a pocket and it just works. Cards fit easily in and out, never do they fall out and over time they mold into their place within the case. All in all this is just a great case and like all Pelican cases the warrantee is their way of assuring you are happy. Was excited for this case as I work in harsh environments a lot and love my larger Pelican cases. But this case is terrible!Does not hold cards securely in place, foam is cut too tight. Always open the case to all my cards loose, and often are dropped on the ground. Would not recommend this case to anyone.
Like other Pelican products I have used, this one is durable and does a good job of protecting the contents from dust, moisture, etc. What it does not do is hold the cards securely. Given that retaining SD cards safely is the sole purpose of the foam lining, one would have expected Pelican to give more thought to that aspect of the case, but unfortunately, they didn't. No matter how securly the cards are inserted in their recesses, the next time the case is opened, many -- often most -- of the cards will have worked loose from their slots and will be rattling around loose in the case. Worse, if you're not expecting that to happen, they will likely be spilling out onto the ground. There are other cases that hold their cards much more securely than this product.
The case is tough and durable. Has storage for all multiple size cards in one place. The only complaint, I wish there was a hair more space so cards would fit in easier. The foam around the cards is soft enough that with some play you can get them to stay. Recommend you put the cards in with their labels upside down so the thicker part of the card is on the top where you push it in and take it out.
