Buyer beware that this case has thinner walls than the standard Pelican line in an attempt to reduce weight. When closed, the case is just as strong, but open, the two sides may rack a little. In the end this is still a great case and we went for this model because it fit the equipment we have, so I am not overly concerned.

NOTE: THIS CASE DOES NOT HAVE HANDLE OR WHEELS.I ordered the 1615, the next larger size with wheels and handle, but it was a little larger than I need and I figured it would be better to have a slightly smaller case to save a few pounds so I ordered the 1605. Only the 1615 and the carry on size one have wheels and handle, the rest are just cases.That being said, for what it is, the pelican air serise cases absolutely CANNOT be beat in terms of volume/lbs. That coupled with the excellent features we know from legacy cases make them the best cases, pound for pound and dollar for dollar on the market currently. I just wish they made one about the size of the 1605 w/ wheels and handle.

I ordered this case with the pluck foam for my telescope eyepieces for transport. I am very impress with this case, seems to be very tuff and working with the pluck foam was a snap. I know of others who have Pelican cases however they are much heavier than this one which makes it idea for my use. I would recommend it highly for anyone looking for a light weight but strong water tight case.
Its exactly what I needed, just wish it had wheels. The design & construction is great and the lower weight is ideal
