Penrite Convoy MFD is a high quality, premium mineral, SAE 15W-40, mid ash diesel engine oil formulated with high quality additives and premium hydrocracked mineral base oils. What does it suit? For use in 4, 6 and 8+ cylinder multicam, naturally aspirated, supercharged, turbocharged common rail & direct injection four stroke diesel engines. It can be used in engines across a wide range of US, European and Asian manufacturers. Recommended for use in vehicles where SAE 15W-40 or SAE 20W-40 engine oils were originally recommended by the manufacturer. It can be used in diesel engines where ACEA E7 or where API CI-4 heavy duty engine oils are specified by the manufacturer. It can also be used where API specifications API CH-4, CG-4 or CF-4 are specified. It is suitable for use in mixed fleets with older Petrol and LPG powered vehicles. It can also be used in both heavy duty and light duty diesel engines in trucks, cars, light commercials and SUVs (without DPF or cooled-EGR) and it may also be used in petrol engines where API SL or prior specification is required and in mixed fleets of Petrol/LPG vehicles. It may also be used in pre 2008 European petrol engines that require ACEA A3/B3 performance level. Convoy MFD is NOT recommended for use in diesels fitted with a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) that require an ACEA “C” grade Low-Mid SAPS (Sulphated Ash, Phosphorus & Sulphur) engine oil. Vehicle & Fuel Types For use in diesel engines in passenger cars, 4WD’s, light & heavy duty commercial engines in trucks, tractors, agricultural & earthmoving equipment as well as industrial equipment such as fork lifts & stationary engines. It is suitable for use with Diesel & Petrol/E10/LPG (Dual Fuel). It is also suitable for use in petrol and LPG engines as a mixed fleet oil.
