I have changed to a 5w-40 engine oil from a 5w-30 due to changes made by Jeep, After looking for 6 months for an oil that suited the ecodiesel (and not being in the USA) I have purchased the Penrite enviro oil . Just changed the engine oil and it all sounds good uner the bonnet
Awesome oil and great value. I tried others but found this to be great for my Grand Cherokee. Engine is quieter and smooth running. Give it a go and you won't be disappointed
Good value on sale. Enviro+ range of oils is suitable for use with vehicles fitted with a Diesel Particulate Filter. Most important for the current range of diesel engines. Blocking up of the DPF requiring replacement is very expensive. This is normally reflected in the price of the suitable oils. Hence the need to constantly check special prices.European vehicles (such as VW) manufactured for cold european conditions, stipulate 5W-30 rated oils. These are light for Australia's warmer conditions, where a 5W-40 is more appropriate. Provided the DPF rating is covered.Penrite is an Australian company producing Australian made oils. Their synthetic range is high quality and preferred for vehicle maintenance and long term protection.
Nobody should be using mineral oils in their engines any more. Fully synthetic oils provide far superior protection on the critical warm-up stage. I’ve used Penrite oils for 20+ years and have experienced zero engine oil consumption even in high performance and high mileage vehicles
I use it where 5w30 is Recommended for VW and the oil consumption is in check now. I have been using it for over 5 years on the same car now and had no issues with it. It’s a great oil.
I’ve done oil changes with this brand a couple of times now. No complaints and great price when on special. I don’t know anything about the technical merits except its slippery and that’s good right?
Not Superchaep ? expensive, have found it not cheaper, same brand, will not be buying from Super Expensive again, as usual it wasnt on sale...
