Penrite has been our go to brand for years. We have tried many over the last 30 plus years and Penrite has been the regular. Our only concerns have been price. We have tried cheaper oil from various brand names but we always go back to Penrite. 5W-30 is used in the Subaru.

I've used this oil in my '05 Monaro for years and have never had an issue. This car does everything from daily driving to track days and the oil has always stood up to the challenge. I'll also mention the car is far from stock and the engine puts out a lot more heat than the factory optioned Monaro. So if you have a high performance car and need an oil you can trust I would highly recommend Penrite 5W-30. If you need more convincing you are also supporting an Australian brand.

Really happy with the oil, its thick but it's so smooth at the same time. Brings the best of the engine back to where it was, if not better. I didn't think Penrite could pull it off but this one really did for my car this time. I tried the Castrol edge 10W30 before but really made my engine loud and sloppy. Consumption went up as well, glad I changed to this one. Anyone needing A5/B5 for their car I highly recommend.
Got this on sale and I'm happy with the oils performance if this review was only about the oil it would easily get 5 stars.The only gripe is quality of life issues, the bottle design and funnel included.Other brands have a second handle so you can work one handed at the center of gravity of the bottle which gives you a free hand so you can hold your wiggly funnel or a shop rag to catch any spills.I'm assuming they give you a funnel to compensate using two hands and to try to get to hard to reach places. With my experience the funnel once you've bent it in the position you want, it decides to go its own way once you let go. And when pouring with it, it feels like it only pours 100ml a minute even with the air hole unobstructed. Penrite is the best oil that I've ever used. Started using it in 2008 and have always had fantastic results. Never had any breaking down of the oil between the 10,000km intervals. At change time the oil was not thick and black, as I've experienced with too many other brands. Will stick with this oil for life.

I believe that Penrite oils are of high quality and are offered at an attractive price compared to other oils on the market. The discounts offered by Supercheap are confusing due to online pricing not always compatible with inshop purchase.
My philosophy is to shop local and buy local as much as possible. Supercheap Auto makes it easy with stocking Penrite oils and selling them at very competitive prices. Penrite oils do two very important things - one they protect your engines and machinery to the highest standard and two they keep locals in jobs in Australia.
