Long lasting, low noise and better fuel economy. On my V8 it is noticeably better than other brands and i event took the car to the track. Changing the oil it doesn't have a burnt smell even when the car has been stressed. My engine is not stock and has a cam and higher compression which means it does ask for more in terms of performance which it lives up to. Being a broad performance oil I even use it in my Turbo 2L diesel. Both I change on 6 month intervals regardless of mileage.

I used to own in the past old landcruisers with the big old Diesel engines like 1hdt-1hz. And used the quality mineral oil for the motors. I would change the oil every 5 k and by that time, the oil would be jet black, I could see my reflection in it. But now I have a common rail diesel and have used this for the past few services. This would have to be the best of the best. I've changed the oil in the last couple of services at 5k and it darkens a little bit but still looks so fresh that I could leave it in my engine for another 5k. You can see through the oil still at 5k and see the dipstick. It's not jet black at all. Beautiful stuff. Will be buying another load right now

It's an excellent oil, great value for money. Buy it on special. Compared to other oils it seems to keep the valve train quiet. I've used Penrite oils of all different types and viscosities on multiple cars and it's never let me down. Other competitors just don't seem to come close. Highly recommended 👌

As I am not an engineer of petroleum or oil, I cannot comment on the product and any user reviews on oil hold zero fact or credibility and the only people who can factually provide information would be the engineers themselves who work for the oil company. Of which their opinion would be biased and of as little value as anyone else’s opinion.The oil meets the rating required.I buy it when the price is attractive.I buy Nulon and Penrite for the Australian factor. In the past I did (and sometimes still do) buy Valvoline based on factual data from a 12 month torture test done on New York Taxis many years ago.
Amazingly, this is oil. You wouldn't believe it, eh?Luckily, Penrite seems to be very good oil - at least in my experience.Go buy some. Support Australian made/owned at the same time.
This motor oil in particular is of the highest grade possible. Firstly being Full Synthetic which is much better for your engine than mineral oils. The 5W is for start up and in particular the 40 offer extra protection for Australian conditions.I highly recommend this oil for almost all modern vehicles wether 4, 6 or 8 cylinders.
Over the last 30 plus years friends and I have used many brands and types of oil in various cars and applications. Initially it was the name brands and known oil companies but that quickly changed with use, experience and tinkering with our cars. Penrite has been the staple for many years now and our go to oil for most car use. 5W-40 is used in the EVO and the Alpha R. Never any issues.
I’ve been using this oil in our ‘12 Td6 Territory for many years without issue. This and a ryco filter every 7500 k’s keep it going smoothly. Can be picked up on decent sale at Supercheap every couple of weeks. Paid $53 for the 6lt this time. Great value.
It's pretty much opinion to a certain extent on which oil is the best, so it's hard to write a review that has any substance to it, especially considering I'm not a chemist who creates oils for a living. In saying that, I have a car with a 1JZ-GTE, and it seems to love Penrite's synthetic oils. Inexplicably, it seems to lessen valvetrain noise as opposed to other oils, even other cheaper penrite oils. Maybe it's got something to do with its additive pack? I don't know, get off my back about it. HPR5 has the viscosity I want at a price that I'm happy to pay(especially when it's on sale).
It is my first time to use this oil as I used less expensive ones before. I decided to try this one as SuperCheap Auto offered 40% special. It was used in my old 2007 BMW 320i. My car required oil top-up every ~3000 Km in the last 3 years. This oil seems to last a bit longer - I am still working it out.
