I have an earlier version of this lens, the FA 35/2.0; I think the only optical difference is the coatings. I love it; this lens takes beautiful pictures. Yet it's so small and light; not really all that much more than a pancake lens. And 35mm makes a great walkaround normal focal length on an APS-C sensor camera.

I always enjoyed my classic film Pentax K1000 with a SMC 50mm f2, true to being a Pentaxian I went looking for a digital equivalent and found the answer in the FA 35 mm f2 currently using it on an APS-C Pentax camera body, the quality is there and the feel of those film days are back again !!

Bought to replace 35mm 1:2.4 AL. Color fidelity and sharpness are above expectations. Small size and low weight make this combo quite unobtrusive. No regrets!
