I purchased this pencil because my two other pencils - Pentel Smash Q1005 .5, and the Uniball Alpha Gel .5, both seemed to make too thick of lines for my tastes. I'm an engineering student and I do a lot of writing and taking notes, because of this I like to have nice writing utensils.This pencil is great - I've had it for a two days and I already love it. Must better looking than either of my other two pencils. I have nothing negative to say about it. My favorite of the three pencils that I own by far.

Overall I really like this pencil. My only issue is I have difficulty getting the lead out but it's nothing horrible. So really, this pencil is legit.
It is not too heavy but sturdy. I prefer Uni Kuru Toga High Grade Auto Lead Rotation 0.3mm Mechanical Pencil slightly more then this one.
I like this pencil. I draws smooth and easy. The lead lasts longer then regular mechanical pencils.The pentel graph 1000cs feels comfortable and you feel a good control. The metal on plastic at the lower part of the body keeps your hand from slipping, giving your fingers something to grip.This is a perfect choice for colored pencils as the lead is not too heavy or dark yet, you are able to sketch out your drawing without fear of the lead coming through after layering.I have to say I am also impressed with Jet Pens and the selection as well as the delivery time.
It is a really nice pencil. It uses a small lead, so it is easy to write and draw with. It is comfortable to hold. I'm very satisfied with this pencil.
