The product is not 91cm tall, it is 86cm tall. No doubt once installed as per instructions, floor to top rail height may be 91cm. In addition, the 30cm extension panel that I purchased IS 91cm tall, making it 5cm taller than the gate, and impossible to attach together. I have spent a very frustrating afternoon trying to get these two pieces to work together, but have given up. Both the gate and extension will be returned to Bunnings for a full refund.

Easy to put together, we’ve found this nice and solid. Been up for 10 months and still going strong. We liked how we could change the width and so moved it around as our bubba grew and needed more space. I used my own screws which were longer. Really needs to fix to timber surface or a stud behind the gib.

Have used a second hand one of these gates on our verandah to block the stairs which are dangerous for kids. It lasted for many years exposed to the weather. Just replaced it with a new one so it’s strong and safe
The gate is heavy (good), the hinge axle is soft plastic (bad). The hinge donut is metal and scraps on the plastic axle, making this very hard to use. Potentially good design, poor execution and material choices. Do not buy this until they fix the hinge flaw.
Bought the gate a few days ago, the screws provided cannot hold the weight of the gate even when in studs. Poor design. Very disappointed I didn’t read the reviews prior. Very disappointed as damaged the gyprock when came out.
Unless you are a handyman do not buy this gate. The hinge assembly is not strong enough for the weight and length of the gate. The hinge assembly failed when the gate was attached to the hinge assembly and this was before the gate was put in use. The gate is probably reasonable if the hinge assembly is modified.
This gate is very difficult to lift up and latch and lift up to unlatch I am relatively strong however am unable to lift it up to latch it closed with one hand and need two hands spread out over the width of the gate. There is so much resistance when attempting to lift the gate to shut it. Impossible to do with a baby in one arm. Otherwise the gate it tidy and sleek looking however I is not user friendly with a child and it incorrectly advertised as a one handed lock.
An absolute pain to install, weak and cheap construction. Mounting bolts screw into plastic threads which stripped straight away. Would not recommend purchasing!
We have been using these gates for months now to keep our very active toddler away from the top and bottom of our stairs. Having read the reviews, we took the initiative to purchase longer screws and better wall plugs which has meant we have had no issues, even when our boy attempts to climb and hang on them.
