Needed a bird book to identify North American Birds in our area. It's perfect.
My grandmother loved birdwatching and had a copy of this sitting on the table by the window where she had her bird feeders. My mom keeps it in a similar place now that shes passed. Decided to get one for the memories, but its also just really easy to find the birds common here in the US Southeast.
This is fine for just naming that dern bird that comes to my bird feeder, gets a free lunch then is gone. Works for me as it is small enough to fit in a pocket yet gives enough info while hiking, or just sitting and watching these smart little creatures that keep me entertained with their antics.Good value for $4. and tax.
I like to have my little guide books along with me for references. There is always a new bird, a new insect, a new fern, a new something. If you have no Internet and you will need to check a source, these little books are perfect!
