I am laughing because at every angle, this dog toy made to replace Water bottle chewing, looks and feels like something that would be purchased from an adult toy store.Once we were all able to get past that, we gathered up all of my dog’s dangerous water bottles he had been chewing on and gave him this toy. He was not sure at first, so we did add a small amount of peanut butter inside as it is hollow and he has not stopped playing with it since. I have been able to set my water bottles down low and he has not taken one. This toy is amazing so far. Day 1.

My small but persistent gnawer immediately got to work on these and hasn’t been able to make a dent on them. Can’t say the same about other “tough” toys like nylabones and kongs for example. The crunch seems very satisfying for a dog. We bought the medium size for our 11 pounder.

I was very excited to give this toy to our 7 month old puppy for Christmas. She loved it! She chewed on the toy for 20 minutes when we noticed that she was chewing on something off the toy. The plastic/silicone had cracked. She was chewing on a chunk that came off. If you have a diligent bone chewer, I do not recommend this toy.
I have a 10 month old Doberman. He absolutely LOVED this chew toy, but only for the 5 - 10 minutes it lasted. I purchased it because it claims to be tough, but the end was chewed off quickly. Mostly because he loved the crunch noise so much he really concentrated on this toy and then I took it away from him because I didn't want him ingesting plastic pieces. I was disappointed because I thought it would be a fun toy that would be around for at least a while, but it was a waste of money for me. If you have a dog with normal chompers, they will probably really love this toy.
I bought 2 of these a couple of years ago & they were great. So, I ordered again in size large like I did before. These are at least 2” smaller than my last and are not as heavily made. My originals each lasted my 65 lb dog a year before he chewed them apart. This one didn’t even make the 10 minute mark. The carrot lasted about 2 minutes at the most. Do not buy these Pet Stages ‘tough’ chew toys if your dog is a chewer. I’ll stick to deer antlers in the future.
Our French Bulldog broke off a tooth when chewing on her favorite toy, a Nylabone. After dental surgery the vet tech suggested this product so she could have something softer to chew. This was based on her having a slight fracture in another tooth that was not removed. Brooke doesn’t chew on this and was not interested in it. The product has an empty tunnel in it. I use it to put her treats or kibble in it. She moves the bone around and the food comes out. It is perfect as a way to slow down her eating. After the food is gone she walks away from it
Bought the large toy for my super-picky Lab and I’m happy he likes it. It is definitely durable. It entertains in multiple ways plus it’s easy to use in a structured training session.Unfortunately this toy is a major trip hazard due to the clear outer material. I knew buying the toy it had a clear outside with a green tube inside, however the clear outside overpowers the green. I wouldn’t recommend for a household with older adults or any individuals with a fall risk as the toy blends in with the floor.
After months of having this toy, it is the only one our Aussie puppy has not destroyed. It has held up incredibly and doesn’t have a single hole or tear in it. We are shocked! Very highly recommended for extreme chewers and destroyers.
It’s important to know that this toy is not for tough chewers, the rubber just isn’t designed for that.However! Me and my lab puppy LOVE to use this toy for fetch, because it bounces around in all directions and when she brings it back we can play a little bit of tug with it. I don’t know any other toy that can do both! And the crackling noise really piques her interest and gets her excited to play.I’m actually ordering my second one right now because I was naive and let her chew it without supervision, so one end is bitten off (which also makes her want to keep chewing it).So while this toy is defo not for a chewing session (for us), we totally love it for fetch.
